as in? what is this, her voice sounds DIGITALIZED….Nah by force!! And all dat winding is just wrong.

I mean I understand that the is a “recession” (if its hit naij) and they all need to find another hustle but comeon, invest in businesses or something. Or how about theaterical performances….just dont think being a singer is all about selling “sex” pleaseeeee.

There is nothing bad about this video, in fact i think this is a good effort by OmoT. There’s no sale of sex here at all, what are you talking about B-i? Please you guys leave the lady alone jare! Bad bellus too much!

First, I have to say that this is an improvement on Omotola’s part when compared to her first album. She is doing better and will still do much better in the future. The video was decent, it’s probably not the official but it was good. And the song was good too.

Now to the naysayers and straight up haters:
1st her voice does not sound digitalized. You need to go listen to digitalized voices before you start saying nonsense.

2nd: on selling sex? Or being cheap. Are you sure we are watching the same video. There is nothing, not ONE thing that suggests that she is selling sex, acting cheap, or suggesting anything sexual. If you look at her dressing, she is well covered. The shoulder-less/tube dress she is wearing looks chic and covers her well. There is not even a single cleavage shot in the whole video to suggest anything sexual. Even with the 2-piece: she is still pretty covered. For Christ sakes the bottom (the wrapper part) is on the upper part of the abdomen all the way to the floor. And the top covers her boobies well. What were you expecting, that since she has 3-4children, she should then dress in granny clothes and look like a grandma?

Oh and the winding issue: please watch OmoT’s subtle womanly wind/dance and the young Ed Hardy guys seriously winding away at 0:42, 1:06, 2:10 and compare for yourself.

In general I think she did fine, even the lyrics are pretty decent. And she looks like she is having fun and that’s all that matters.

There is no place where it is written that she has pick movies and not do music so OmoT go ahead and do your thing.

P.S. For now and in the Future, please people before you comment or criticize other peoples hard work, don’t scroll down and read other peoples comment first. Try and watch the video first (read the article or listen to the song first etc) and form your own opinion. Don’t let other peoples negative or positive comment bias yours. Your mind is one thing that nobody should have to take from you. So make up your mind yourself without outside influence. We Nigerians tend to jump on the bandwagon a lot (especially on the negative stuff), that is something we have to work on and change.

  11. Opinion

    April 3, 2009 at 3:48 am

I watched the video before there were any comments and I thought it was pure garbage. You are doing her a disservice by not stating the facts. The video is sub par and she needs work on her vocals.

That being said; what does the video have to do with how many kids she has? Please let’s keep this constructive an leave family members out of it.

Not a good effort at all, if omotola feels destined to sing she needs to work harder

  20. Igwegbe Chukwuebuka

    April 3, 2009 at 11:35 am

Firstly I am disappointed at Omotola & then at those who feel dis is actually a nice song. Not only dat d song is not lyrically sound, d video is drab & d voice is definitely not dat of a musician. I know she is tryin 2 make a statement but its really drownin her reputation.

    April 3, 2009 at 1:36 pm

You people you can’t just get up one day and say “I’m going to be a singer” look at all the international singers, they’ve been singing from they were in diapers.

Omotola you’ve been acting for a long time, please continue to act and take care of the most important people in your life, your children!

    April 3, 2009 at 2:18 pm

Yaaaaay OMG i reeeaaaalllllyyy love this song, i think its so catchy and i will defintely be getting my groove on to this one this summer, and damm this woman is HOT o, if i can look like that at her age after 4 kids il know iv done sumthin rite 😉

ah my 9ja ppl cool down now, wat happend to our light hearted humorous approach to life that has kept us going all this years lol, we know we sha just like a song we can groove 2 and r not so interested in vocal otherwise dbanj and co would not be this successful now, giv the woman a break and dont take it too seriously jare, just enjoy the gbedu 😉

  26. omo

    April 3, 2009 at 6:04 pm

I think she did ok, the song and video is not that great but it will suffice entertainment wise.

    To ms. opinion,
I really don’t know why you would call the whole video pure garbage, do you even know the meaning of that the phrase “pure garbage”

Also i think lady u. mentioned her kids b/c some commenters did mention her family life and how it wasnt appropriate for the video.

Anyway Omotola, if you plan on making a big impact in this industry, you have to work much harder. good luck.

    April 3, 2009 at 6:33 pm

Oh my! I actually LOVE this song. Yeah I’m going to take that advice on not reading comments before listening to the song. I was actually dancing in my seat and it’s such an uplifting song. Job job OmoSexy!!!

She sings well enough given that I’ve heard way worse from some other ‘artists’. Hope this song comes as a single. I’ll buy it straight up.

  32. Opinion

    April 3, 2009 at 10:16 pm

Must everyone like the song? Is something wrong with you? Why must people be haters because they don’t like Omotola’s song? Are you freaking kidding me??? Everyone can’t like the same thing and she is NOT infalible so she is bound to make mistakes and in this case a whack video. Geez! Get over yourself!

  33. Opinion

    April 3, 2009 at 10:20 pm

To all the Omotola defenders: give it a rest! Some of us think the song is garbage…finish! Why can’t you leave your own comments and get on with it? Do you see people complaining that you like the song? Why is it an issue that some of us don’t. Nigerian women need to stop the nonsense of thinking that everyone is a hater. It is such a tired defense.

If you weren’t told growing up I’ll tell you now; NOT everyone has to like you. The same goes for Omotola…we don’t all have to have our mouths glued to her behind.

I agree with you Opinion. I love Omotola but this song is a huge disappointment. Her words were swallowed, the voice was enhanced and her dancing,….oh, her dancing.

I still think she’s a fabulous actress and maybe that’s what she has been cut out for, she should stick to it. If she’s bored, do a TV show or somthing, but don’t sing!

omosexy is no doubt a beautiful and talented actress but music wise, she is good but not very good. i like her as a person and as an actress i think she is a good role model to alot of african women this particular song definitely made me dance, but i wouldn’t say it was brilliant

  41. MiaJadore

    April 4, 2009 at 4:25 pm

Love Omotola, and she is probably my favorite actress, but this music thing is not for her. By the way 4me, how did someone like you gain access to the internet? You have way too much to say for someone who cannot spell or articulate a sentence. The rest of us are dumber having read through your mess.

  42. notbad

    April 4, 2009 at 8:03 pm

It’s actually a catchy song and def an improvement on her previous attempt at music. This is one of those songs that when it’s played enough you’ll find yourself singing it.

Oh she looks fab in the video.

  43. chilipepa

    April 4, 2009 at 10:08 pm

I don tire with all these Nigerian actors wannabe singers. Whoever is lying to them should quit doing that, because it’s embarrasing. I’m not a big fan of her acting either, but she can pull it off better than singing. Not everybody can do it like Stella Damasus, who just has it in her, and good in whatever she does. Omosexy, I’m begging you for the last time, stop, I’m sure there is still something out there you can do.
