This is the first weekend in September 2010 and we are so excited! Thankful to be alive and well enough this experience all the amazing things coming up this month and for the rest of the year. Hope the first 8 months of 2010 were great for you, we wish you even more amazing blessings now and henceforth.

Anyway, here are the events taking place this weekend.

Burlesque Princess is returning to Lagos with beginners burlesque classes
Burlesque classes appeal to women (over 18 years old) and no one is too old to join in the fun. The classes focus on educating (learning about the genre, art, history of burlesque) exercising (toning, mini work-outs), confidence (posing, dressing-up, cabaret-type performances), fun (dance routines, music), networking (meeting a range of other ladies from different age groups) and most of all to instill fun, femininity and confidence in women.
Date: Thursday 2 September 2010 (Every Thursday for six weeks)

Farafina Book Reviews @ Terra – Starbook
Do you absolutely love African tales? Then, join Chris Ihidero and Molara Wood as they revisit the ancient African storytelling tradition. They will be reviewing Starbook, a tale of a prince and a maiden who are tested by trials in a mythical land where art, imitation and dynamic stillness are supremely important. Written by Ben Okri, Starbook is one book that borrows copiously from African oral tradition. Undoubtedly, this edition promises to be exciting as on air radio personality, Wana of Inspiration FM would be moderating. Also, Farafina books will be available for sale at up to 50% off some titles! So, why don’t you come enjoy ‘Tales by Moonlight’?(in this case, tales by daylight!) “To Love A Ghost” comes to Lagos
For the first time in Lagos, a soul stirring tale, “To Love A Ghost”; will be presented on stage by DreamPlayHouse Theatre. “To Love A Ghost” is a play written by Ita Hozaife and directed by Kenneth Uphopho.
Date: Saturday 4 September 2010

Time: 2 Showings – 3PM and 5PM
