One girl will have her life transformed on Sunday 12th September 2010. On that day, the finale of the Elite Model Look Nigeria competition takes place. The finalists are already gearing up for the competition – they are being trained and transformed in the pre-finale model bootcamp.
This is the third year that the Elite Model Look Nigeria competition is being held and preparations are in gear to ensure that this is the most glamorous event yet. The show will be a blend of a modelling competition and a fashion show with the finalists strutting down the runway in designs by Nkwo, Vonne, Melissa Odabash & Jewel by Lisa. Also on the bill is the grand return of Nigerian designer Maria Odunsi – MYA after a 2 year hiatus.
The 12 finalists of the Elite Model Look Nigeria 2010 competition are They are Abiola Adeyemi, Nwando Ebeledike, Oluwakemi Faleye, Marvis Offor, Bukola Eyinade, Oghogho Obrutse, Chioma Nzenwa, Chika Emmanuel, Delphine Okobah, Onyechi Anita Chialuka, Beauty Osenwegie and Isioma Usama.
They are all aiming to “Rock the Runway like Tracy, Strike A Pose Like Annette”. Previous winners Tracy Onyekachukwu (2008) and Annette Begg (2009) have forged successful modelling careers. While Tracey has made her mark on the runways of London and Paris; Annette has been enjoyed strong editorial presence in Nigeria and also scored as the Fall/Winter 2010-11 Jewel by Lisa lookbook.
The winner of the Elite Model Look Nigeria contest will represent Nigeria at the Elite Model Look International competition which is taking place in China. She will compete against models from all over the world for a lucrative international modelling contract.
