New Video: Retta – Kolo For You

on introduced you to upcoming musician, Retta via our Who Is… feature a few months ago. After the positive response to her single, “Kolo For You“, Retta is taking the song to the next level with this video.
The video was directed by Clarence Peters and features one of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors – Peter Okoye of P-Square.

It’s a unique sound on the Nigerian music scene and the video is understated – also a departure from what we usually see so thumbs up from us.

As in, Clarence is a filmmaker. See video. No over-acting. So subtle but beautiful. Not those emergency videos that people are making up an down.

She try…but I am honestly tired of hearing the word “kolo” in naija songs. The word has been overused.

I like the song. It’s pretty, easy listening.

No comment about Peter Okoye, or his brother Paul, who I’m still feuding with from Atlanta! Where WHERE WHERE is our makeup concert from the one canceled last year???????????????????
