It is a happy season filled with church services, family gatherings and celebrations but it is great to remember that the Christmas season is also a time to reflect and support the less privileged in our communities.

House of Silk will be giving back in style this Christmas.
The fashion house will be hosting a charity event – “Dress 4 Less” and also retailing its HOS Charity Campaign featuring its Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

The “Dress 4 Less” event will take place on the 3rd of December 2011 at the Amber Lounge in the Silverbird Galleria Abuja. There will be a fashion show featuring the new collection, musical performance by Tiwa Savage and a live auction of designer accessories. The new HOS collection will also be available for sale.

The official press release describes the HOS Charity Campaign Collection,

Our Spring/Summer 2012 collection features tropical florals, bright hues and nude tones. Colourful summer dresses, crisp jackets, playful rompers, jumpsuits, short skirts, tiered and body conscious silhouettes are presented alongside wide-leg pants with a glimpse of ethnic-denim mixes!

The climax is echoed in the shimmering effect of sequins and rhinestones on prints and reflective fabrics galore — from Ankara to shimmery chiffon and taffeta transformed into garments that mirror the rich mix of a floral bloom. This is certainly our best collection so far going by the exquisite level of tailoring and intricate precision employed to produce each garment. If you love the playful cuts and the body conscious pieces, the collection will surely leave you yearning for more.

All funds raised at the event and profits from the new collection will be donated to the Hope for Survival Orphanage in Gishiri Village Abuja.
