‘Minimalism, Youth & Femininity’- “Le Voyage” by Pearl 11 30
Pearl 11 30 is a fashion brand offering functional ready-to-wear pieces. Inspired by her recent trip to Cotonou in Benin Republic, Designer, Ade Yusuf presents a collection of workable separates perfect for day and night using the local Cotonou wax print fabric. Minimalism, Youth and Femininity are three words that adequately describe the new collection–“Le Voyage” which juxtaposes a modern aesthetic with an Afrocentric flavour. The designer showcases her love for texture by combining wax print fabrics with Chantilly lace, raw silk and chiffon.

Now we’re talking! Very little of fashion has to do with originality. It’s about re-invention and presentation. This designer shows she’s done her homework. I’d rock the first three outfits outrightly, and the looks in the last two as well. Not a fan of those pink satin pants, but I’d pair a lot of the separates into day and night time looks. I want that polka dot skirt!
Truth be told

Now this-is exciting!I’d wear every single one of them. This is a designer who thinks out of the box and has boldly departed from the ankara craze..It’s about time people realise how versatile and unique tie-dye is and the best thing is you’re less likely to see someone else wearing the exact same design!

Wow, why am I only seeing this? I love love love…the colors, how she takes pretty common place fabrics and stamps herself all over them. I would wear every single piece, over and over again.
