New Music: Soultan Abdul – Kano

I don’t know if any of you remember but there was this Indian song “Mundian To Bach Ke” back in about 2003 by a British Indian musician Panjabi MC that took the world by storm and was literally everywhere; on every radio and in every club. It was so popular, I can even remember there was Jay-Z version, “Beware of The Boys”.

Anyway, if you can remember the song or you’ve just googled it, Soultan Abdul (real name Shuaibu Abdullahi) has a new single “Kano” that so much reminds of the song in how catchy it is, how it blends that Arabian vibe with its originality and how even though I’m not quite sure what all the Hausa he’s singing means, I just want to dance to it.
