      June 20, 2012 at 5:21 pm

You are very right. Omotola and her whole team tried…many have done same concept since they did theirs which were less successful. Because omotola’s was genuine and from the heart. I fell in love with Tara’s makeup after that.

  6. Jules

    June 20, 2012 at 12:53 pm

  8. The truth is bitter

    June 20, 2012 at 1:44 pm

What nonsense! That is why this country will never move an inch in the right direction. While South Africans are celebrating the invention of a new waterconservation project Nigerians are celebrating best Usher/event/ and seriously – Best meeting of the year ??? who in their right innovative mind celebrates that? Love The Arts – but this is all wrong!

    • Nuellla

      June 20, 2012 at 5:39 pm

  11. QJ

    June 20, 2012 at 4:18 pm

I like these award shows, believe it or not it encourages competition, and with competition comes quality which is a word lacking a lot in what Africans do. Yep, Omotola really reached out with the Widows Makeover stuff she did, that was great of her. I hope she wins to encourage others that it is good to contribute to their community when success comes their way. To be successful carries a lot of responsibility, it’s not only about wearing Christian Louboutine et al, carrying about Prada and Louis Vuitton and make sure that photographers catch your every show off moment – this is good PR businesses to advertise yourself but success also means you reach down and lift up as much ppl as you can.

Eh hen…back to the matter at hand… I agree ….OYEP( the widow’s makeover) should win hands down in that category! Originality and heart … Oya all y’all praying for her then lets all vote for her .

    • The truth is bitter

      June 20, 2012 at 6:01 pm

ignorance is bliss! you call people who demand invention losers? I shake my head for you. If entrepreneurs think like you, the internet for example won’t be available. Its really a shame how people churn out their ignorance in public.

  28. Blessing

    June 22, 2012 at 3:02 am

I think the MAJOR problem with Nigeria is that we do not encourage our own! Do this is the US or UK and they will welcome it with open arms. This is a welcome fete, and should be celebrated. I agree with dammylee, it is great to celebrate those who work behind the scenes. Wake up all ye akprokos. Thats how people made fun of people who blogged. Now they are all rushing to have blogs after Bellanaija, linda etc have made it profitable. Bellanaija must win o! #Teambellanaija And Davidoooooo…Whoop whoop!

  29. ClassP

    June 22, 2012 at 3:16 am

There is freedom of speech, however Nuella, Xyz, and TessySays should all get a room!! Y’all need to be delivered! E be like say you need glasses. Look at that list of people! Some Individuals have spent years creating jobs for others in this country. Putting money on peoples tables. Better than the so called govt. Abeg Abegii #EvilTrio
