Wizkid has claimed to be a studio rat in many an interview – always in the studio 24/7 working on one song or another – and this time, he’s shared some of the spoils of his hard work.

Back with his own version of US Rap Star, Future‘s hit single,“Turn On The Lights” produced by Mike Will, Wizkid is here with another one.

Check on it!

Just as Rihanna does Wizkid knows that bringing out songs more frequently keeps him relevant. It doesn’t matter how bad the song is, all he needs to do is to shove it on us with regular airplay, have DJ put in on their club playlists, maybe do a fab video and have it shown regularly on our TV,etc. Music is now a competitive venture and a lot of strategies are put in place to make you current, and being a studiorat is one them.

Are you people illiterates? Got problems with reading or at least doing research if you don’t understand. You are too desperate to be negative but you like a lot of bullsh*t music. P-Square has been copying for many years but you all don’t mind.
It’s a cover version- This is when someone records/ performs a song that has already being released by another artiste. It’s a popular song in America so Wiz is taking advantage of it’s success. It’s a great way to introduce himself to a different market. Abi do you want him to cover a Shina Peters/ Oliver De Coque song for the international market?

A lot of artistes do cover versions- Beyonce, Ri, etc. When these Americans perform their peers songs, you people will say they are paying tribute to them but you nag when Nigerian artistes do the same. You people are silly and don’t like reading.

Yeah, I thought so! Can’t admit when you blunder which is terrible for a site ran by intelligent people. I’ll say it again, Wiz Kid is a cutie pie! And if you don’t know what a cutie pie is look it up instead of arbitarily erasing a compliment paid to a talent young brother!
