Osun is focusing on education, good. If each administration focus on one or two things, at least the country will move forward.

Focusing on education? are the basic needs met before giving out tablets? do all the schools have roofs? Its like planning to go to space, but no one knows how the space shuttle was built.

this is good but u gatta start with the basics they already have good computer knowledge..Its like buying a 6month old baby a Lamborghini, #pointless..

do they even have classrooms? good teachers? strong buildings??

Its only a matter of time before they all go missing..
I think desktops or even laptops would be a better choice.not saying the kids don’t deserve tablets but how is that giving them any future workplace skill??
i mean, how many jobs in naiija hands u tablets?

    waste of resource aka Money

i had a great change of mind after educating myself on this. you should read from and see the great things that has been done already. they are set. they are ready for this. solar panel in schools to help with power. new schools, feeding for students to aid thier concentration. then everyone now has textbooks…and much more!

“…Furthermore, this precious gem in the hands of these students is equipped with solar chargers and does not rely only on electricity to function. It contains a lot more than textbooks. It is compact, and the students cannot visit any other site on it apart from the purpose for which it was made for. It is loaded with all the learning aid the students need on the senior secondary school level to make good grades in senior secondary school examinations. At a time when even JAMB is trying to make students write examinations on the computer, how will they learn to use computers if they are not introduced to it while in school? All over the world people now gather information on the internet. In developed world, big bookshops are folding up by the day.” – Culled from Titi Ajayi on The Nation

All of Nigeria should stop June 3rd… Nothing should happen or launch on June 3rd.

If all of the above has been put in place before handing out these kids with such a brilliant piece of technology that is loaded with targeted knowledge, then Osun state must be commended. A nation that does not invest heavily in education is set to crash some day. Having said that, I hope that the usual implementation challenges we face will not be their portion in this development. By this I mean that sustainability, accountability, availability and continuity methods or patterns should be enveloped as an institution for this program so that policies don’t sway with political changes and bigotry.

weldone, what party is rulling this state? if it is not PDP, i guess PDP is doing much better too. GEJ was able to sign award super vision on internet or orline activities of the entire nation to a company from a dirrent county- I guess PDP IS DOING well too.
