The Nigerian government has stated its focus on the economy and one of the strategies it has employed is the process of diversification. Through initiatives like YouWin!, entrepreneurs who have little or no chance of receiving support from the commercial banks! The government seeks to help reduce unemployment by funding young entrepreneurs.

Watch Al Jazeera‘s expose into the program in trying to determine if it is indeed as efficient and effective as the government proposes.

It is a commendable program, even if its only one person that has been helped. People will always criticize, however the govt. should not rest on its oars, there are more areas begging for attention.

Problem is they say they want unique ideas but I’ve only heard of them accepting and financing ideas like this…that can’t really lift people out of poverty but just helps them maintain. i’m not saying that’s completely bad. just an observation

After watching Al Jazeera’s disgusting take on Boko Harem, I still do not understand their mission in Nigeria. They are dividers who take sides without studying and understanding the history of Nigeria.( My Opinion)
Every employment created is worth it.
There are people who sell wood, make blocks and mow lawns for a living even in the developed world. Great initiative. A little goes a long way.
Am very proud of you, Mr Makinde.

this is one issue i think the government is not doing enough to address. day in day out thousands of graduates are being produced by our higher institutions with little or no job. For me self-employment is the answer thats the message i preach through my blog. God bless Nigeria.

Abeg. Is it today the government started talking about funding SMEs? Will the funds really get to the grass roots?
