Absolute rubbish..this guy should consider a career in selling pure water and should wake up and smell the coffee that he is nothing without Don Jazzy. Since the break up, he hasn’t been able to churn out anything that has a semblance to being nice and he wants to now test his popularity by having a show….na only am and k switch go dey the show.

In my fabulous opinion, D’Banj needs to step it up a few notches or he might go into oblivion. He needs to work on being a better lyricist (or at least use better song writers) and work on his delivery as well, so his songs will make more sense! Whatever happened to chill songs like Fall in Love aka Sweet Potato and Scapegoat? *sigh* This song kinda reminds me of Oliver Twist- both have funky and catchy beats but lack substance and quality. Step up your game dude… I’m rooting for you.

That awkward moment an hater starts to dance and when he or she realises its dbanj, they try to stop dancing…..LMAO

This song only shows the talent of a good mixing engineer or mixing producer i.e the beat is very catch and dance hall worthy; D’Banj on the other hand is just crooning the same phrase over and over, no talent there if you ask me.

First of all, this takes me back to when Oliver twist first came out and people where on about how wack the lyrics was (y’all eventually saw what it turned out to be)…check on the comments here notjustok.com/2011/08/18/d-banj-oliver/#idc-cover … Moving on, I’m quite aware not every negative comment made is in the name of hate but at the same time some people just hate for no damn reason…y’all need to take several seats mehn …what do u mean this is trash ? Ahba people !. We all know D’banj is an entertainer, he ain’t abt dat lyrics
life.. Dis is sure a massive progress..embrace dis progress at least. Moreover he is sure targeting a certain market and I guarantee you this would be a hit in the clubs and the streets, it is just what it is..Dis song sure does it for me !.. Shalla to The Eja nla himself on this one…u go boy !

the song is too long pls. over 5mins when its not even all that. meanwhile who is most of D’banj songs filled with emotions of a looser trying to prove himself since he left Mo’hits?

    • point9ine

      June 20, 2013 at 9:37 am

get a brain. who is d looser, dbanj? what a pity.

Dbanj has never claimed to be a lyricist so we all shouldn’t expect anything great lyrics-wise. Saying a Dbanj’s song is meaningless is like saying the Pope is Catholic. If we’d be honest with ourselves, a good number of his hit tracks with MoHits were senseless but Don Jazzy made very good/catchy beats and coupled with Dbanj’s ‘swag’, the songs sounded great to our ears and we all gyrated to them.
That being said, this song is a good song (minus the terrible lyrics). A song is not a classic strictly cos of the lyrics – no. This song will probably go far and it’ll be a club banger soon because of the beat (sounds a bit like Oliver Twist rhythm to me), also, the hook is very catchy – what more do we need?
By the way, I’m not a fan of his previous singles. I’m really glad he got it right this time.

Its still a mystery D’banj is still relevant to Naija music, nothing he’s done recently makes sense.

@speaking and sarafina, you spoke your minds and it wasn’t in D’banj’s favor? Haters! You mean “oya bend your knees, oya follow your nose, mo ni spell the…” isn’t moving you? I can’t even trust BN when they tell me it has been the rave of the moment; Onos is usually great at exaggerating things. I like the beat, but over time, it gets too loud and brassy, and the “lyrics” are repetitive.

OMG haters get a life, what lyrical content do you expect from a club song…the lyrics goes well with the message whether you like it or not this is a club tune…I’m happy for dbanj finally!!

  34. Ibukunoluwa

    June 20, 2013 at 12:42 pm

i think what’s really sad is the fact that a human being is really putting in effort to be great and people just sit there and give negative criticisms. seriously it’s so unhealthy and stupid. dbanj needs to work on his lyrics quite alright, but the dbanj we’ve always know has never been a great lyricist…he’s always had a way of doing his thing and i don’t see any reason why the same public that bought “soko” or “why me” should have anything against him now, if not for sentimental biased crap. dude is working hard, give him a break! (and i’m not even a fan)

  35. spicy

    June 20, 2013 at 1:17 pm

It will be a club banger but dbanj still needs to up his game. on this one i would give more credit to the producer than the musician. What is it with all this repetition in all these naija songs these days? Its getting tiring and annoying! Cant u musicians invest in song writers? tsk. I have to give it to dbanj tho, he is working really hard..

  36. hmm

    June 20, 2013 at 1:31 pm

well im glad he sounds happy and seems to have that sense of humor he had in his songs in this one….he still needs to improve …. i like this a bit maybe its the beat …

    June 20, 2013 at 1:59 pm

What I don’t get it’s the way people criticize Dbanj or his songs. In fact, most Nigerian songs if not all does have meaningless lyrics. It’s only the beat that gets us (Nigerians) going. So, please y’all need to mellow down.

  39. Concerned_Boyfriend

    June 20, 2013 at 2:24 pm

D’banj is the only Nigerian artist that invokes a polarizing view….with that said, zero on content, hate (8) on the beat… {in my mind, my word plays are bad!..lol)

This is a very very good track, absolutely pumping my adrenaline and it has been on replay on my stereo… Those saying the track is trash must be hardcore haters who have sworn their lives to beef a young man making progress. Eja nla I’m feeling this track, keep ur head up against haters…. I love u bro (no homo) u d BEST!!!

  51. David

    October 4, 2013 at 4:00 pm

D’banj himself has said it all in his lyrics “O bullshit ko Bullshit , Nawo Nawo Jube Lo”. Its obvious he doesn’t care what you feel or think about him cos he’s going to keep getting it all and you all fucking haters would still go on to buy tickets to his show, that’s if you can even afford it….Haters!!! want to keep on hating? Be Constructive. Sick of y’all people. Dumb Fellas!!!
