Beauty buffs rejoice as Maybelline New York is in Lagos, Nigeria!

On Friday 18th October 2013, the top beauty brand officially opened its boarding gates to the Nigerian press and beauty industry insiders at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.

To announce the “touchdown” of one of the world’s leading cosmetic brands from one major metropolitan city to another – from New York to the bustling Lagos, Maybelline held a media parley as a prelude to its launch party.

The Maybelline team consisting of Idorenyen Enang (Managing Director, L’Oreal Central West Africa), Sekou Coulibaly (General Manager, Consumer Products Division, L’Oreal Central West Africa) and Bukola Balogun (Brand Manager, L’Oreal Central West Africa ) presented the brand and their plans for Nigeria to the press and in an exclusive party, to some of the biggest names in the Nigerian Beauty & Lifestyle Industry.

Guests spotted at the launch party include Agbani Darego, Folake Folarin-Coker, Stephanie Linus, Ifeoma Williams, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Banke Meshida-Lawal, Lola Maja-Okojevoh, Rita Dominic, Noble Igwe and Ono Bello.

Glam Report TV presenter Michelle Dede hosted the event and introduced guests to the brand’s Artistic Director Bimpe Onakoya, who expressed her enthusiasm at the opportunity for Nigerian women to now have access to Maybelline New York.

Featuring a lush dessert bar and make-up stations for guests to experience the Maybelline Colossal Kajal & Mascara, it was a safe landing for Maybelline New York in Lagos.
