She is pretty girl and not a bad Dj at all, people are hating cos they are JEALOUS! Her dad’s a billionaire and quite frankly she lives in a different world than most people, a world where you can be anything you wanna be and where money is never an object. Good for her!

Yep! A world that was enabled via the sweat and anguish of other Nigerians. Just another “rub it in their face” from one advantaged lady to the disenfranchised public. But again, must of BN readers wouldn’t understand, or would they?

You know what and she is very different from many rich girls in nigeria who think their shit don’t stink! at least she is doing something she is passionate about! go DJ Cuppy do your thing.

    • Mshewwwww

      January 11, 2014 at 2:27 pm

People like you like to SCREAM the word HATERS and JEALOUS to emotionally blackmail people with opinions opposed to yours i.e. anything beyond immature bottom-licking. You have absolutely nothing to say and your lack of valid argument and point to make reflects in your desperate attempts to demonize others.

Newsflash: People have the right to be repulsed by NEPOTISM and CLASSISM and the CORRUPTION that destroy the lives of millions and millions of Nigerians. Without critical thinking and the right to express those disparaging opinions against the powerful and wealthy – whose wealth is in many cases is fraudulent and the fruit of hard-working dispossessed Nigerians, there will be no progress and no democracy!!
Most of you may admit it or not, this girl represents all of this! And it so tiring to see so many people rush to shut down the truth because they are uncomfortable with it or think that if they praise the oga at the top (or his daughter) they will have part of the cake. So pathetic!
This girl is OK at the very best and is only receiving all this attention because of he dad’s long money whose fraudulent origin, we all know about. PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE DISGUSTED BY AND ANGRY AT THAT! Especially in a country with so many poor people who situation is made worse by the kind of her father. It is actually the sign of a balance and healthy sense of values to stand up against injustice. And it is unjust that Nigerian Djs like Dj Obi or Deejay Olu (Davido’s Dj) who have been behind the scenes for years and have more talent in their pinky toe than she will ever have in the rest of her life, these guys will never ever received such attention.

The truth is that, people who talk about all the international parties she has djed at know that she was way too mediocre for London where her daddy money and name are not much to make it so she had to try and make it in good old Naija where everything goes, you get robbed then forced to love and praise your robbers, otherwise you are ‘jealous’, a ‘hater’. After all, Tinie Tempah is no trying to make it in Naija, do you catch my drift? She is mediocre tbqh and I dont care about the tears of rich kids who think that it is the end of the world if everybody doesnt adore them and remind them how special they are.
I highly despise people who have no problem with injustice.

Thank you for this comment. It is the smartest response I
have read on BN. Everyone want’s to soothe the backs of these

Abeg give me a break. DJ Olu parents are also billionaiares. Its probably a case where Otedola sponsors his daughter whereas Mr Abiodun doesn’t. Plus i feel a greater fuss is made about her because she is female and they arent that many female DJs in Naija.

    • Mshewwwww

      January 12, 2014 at 10:38 am

      @ Olive, you are welcome
@ lol “Its probably a case where Otedola sponsors his daughter” yep, you said it all. It is all, it is totally a case of LOOTED MONEY upholding NEPOTISM.
You can now take your break, I am not holding you hostage.

I watch the video and really did not see what was annoying people this morning. She is a DJ! You don’t expect her to act as a Nuclear physicist do you? DJs are meant to be fun people! And by the way, what has her father’s money got to do with it? I did not see an obscene display of wealth.

I personally know this family and I can tell you all that is she a hard working and very brilliant lady.
Many of you all can only dream to smell her success so stop hating!!
Just because she is trying to branch out to the Music industry in Nigeria she is been criticised.
She travels international for her job and plays at the best and well know gigs in the world.
She don’t rely on her dad’s income to get going.

I was almost a tad green with alil jealousy when i first started watching the video but on reflection I decided to look at how driven she is and how she decided to embrace and pursue what she has a passion for..I admired the fact that she’s driven enough to “work” on her birthday and i love that she’s having a great time while “working”…On a general note, I think all the “spiteful” comments are totally unnecessary.. Enjoy your lives and live your dreams so you don’t choke on your hate when someone else is doing well…:)

Well, the video is A Night Out with Cuppy so I wonder why BNers are vexing. The one I don’t understand is that her merix of I love my Country. The only thing I heard left of that once lovely song is “I love my country” repeated ad nauseam over a background of loud noise.
Seeing as I don’t know you and I’ve never heard you deejay before, my impression of you, dear Cuppy, is based on that your take of I love my country. All I can do is sigh and wish you Happy Hustling.

Not hating but seriously what is the purpose of this video abi web series?
Was the video meant to show her DJ skills, birthday or party thingy? I mean anybody can make a stupid video n post it on the net. Didn’t get anything from the video, it wasn’t even entertaining, am usually not the type that put people down, but can’t help meself this time. I think cuppy needs a mentor, she also needs to define exactly the purpose n information she wants to pass with her web video. For instance if it’s for publicity, at least make it entertaining or do something that will get u the attention u need in the music industry. And BN if I want to watch this sort of silly videos, I knw exactly where to go to, there are so many on YouTube, just saying. Ok am done ranting….

One more thing, for those of u saying her father is a billionaire, haters are just jealous bla bla bla,

Oh my Lord! I cannot comprehend the reason behind the hate … TUFIAKWA UNU! God forbid this kind of bad blood and negative energy .. The hate is truly disgusting … She appears to be a nice and fun lady … At only 21 – she is already working hard to create a niche for herself … all we need to do it support .. it is all baby steps oh … make una remember … success doesn’t happen overnight .. all this hateful comment is truly discouraging and saddening .. I was smiling through the video just seeing someone who has a passion for what they do and having so much fun with it …only to go down to the comment section and see all these.. it is 2014 – we need more positivity folks… she is clearly trying to promote her brand – all she needs is constructive criticisms and not all these crab like behaviour .. dragging people down for no reason… typical jealous nigerian behaviour .. tufiakwa!…If she was just lounging on her father’s money, people will talk and insult her … but she decided to work for her own name, and people still insult her ….you can never please the world….I am done ranting! … it hurts because i truly understand! Ps: I am not in any way related to the girl … have never even heard about her before …. but she clearly is one hardworking, funloving, passionate, inspiring, creative, rich AND GORGEOUS young lady… Hating can’t change that …#Thatsall

Biko calm ur tits woman! I for one think the girl is fun
and pretty…i like her. However, just like everyone else that have
been featured on BN, people usually have different reactions to
them. U shouldnt expect everyone to love her and what she does just
to avoid being called jealous or haters of a billionares daughter.
I don’t see ur uproar when people hate on the likes of toke, tonto,
karen and others that get various reactions on this site. So pls
stop assuming that everyone is “hating” on her because she is a
billionare’s daughter…..i bet u that some people would have still
make the same petty remarks if she was a civil servants daughter
(it happens here all the time). Take toke’s vids for
instance….the same criticisms of “whats the point of this vid”
etc is what she gets too. U assuming this is all about jealousy
just show that YOU have a complex.

She’s sweet and innocent and rolling in money and that’s bound to piss a lot of people off……….and she has this high pitched nasal way of talking which kinda makes me look at her as white chick. She’s def not a typical Nigerians cup of tea but I m sure she’s a lovely girl. X

Only thing i have to say is the emphasis @ the fact she is
‘only 21’ is annoying. And i am no hater, infact i respect her
hustle but i get the frustration at those who think shes just a
rich kid lucky for her dream to come alive early and lets be frank
its thanks to daddy’s money and exposure. At 21 myself and most
friends had finished NYSC and yes we went to a Nija uni, but at
that age we and before we had big dreams and if my father had
quarter the money Cuppy’s daddy has, I would have defiantly been a
constant face celebrated on bellanaija. Point is time, chance and
opportunity happened for her to live her dream, our prayers should
be for God to bless our hustles so our children can live their
dream as early as possible. My 2 cents

  44. ha

    January 11, 2014 at 9:41 pm

She is very beautiful. yes her dad has money and so. at
least she isn’t all bitchy with it. Abeg if my dad was a
billionaire too i will enjoy it. I know if some of these BN users
fathers become millionaires they will become arrogant and prideful
with it. Let her do her own thing. Still gushing at how pretty she
    is!

  45. Concerned9ja

    January 11, 2014 at 10:11 pm

Annoying how the word HATE is dropped just because it
doesn’t fit with your sentiments or doesn’t follow willy nilly
popular opinion…FACT is why are we celebrating her??..after all
she is a recipient of her father’s largesse…sickening how people
worship wealth in that country…most don’t even question the
source of that wealth.. It’s not just her father but the others
too..milking the country dry and subjugating the entire population
so they can look up to them like some demi-god…seems to working!!
Her father(Odetola) is one of those responsible for leaving 9ja in
perpetual darkness..forever frustrating restoration of steady power
supply due to the massive profits he makes from diesel and
associated by-products!! May the sins of their fathers not be
    visited upon them!!

      January 12, 2014 at 12:13 am

if you are so angry how about you march to her dad’s house and tell him your mind. People like to complain about stuff but yet they don’t have a solution. All talk no action. No body is saying her dad isn’t stealing money, but the girl is trying to branch off from her dad and do her own thing.

  46. mschief

    January 12, 2014 at 12:54 am

Hehehehe… I will never get tired of seeing the word ‘hater’ used at every opportunity. If we channel half the energy we use in arguing pointlessly over other people’s fabulous life into creating solutions, our beloved Nigeria won’t have half as much ‘haters’ as it does now.

    • Mshewwwww

      January 12, 2014 at 11:27 am

” If we channel half the energy we use in arguing pointlessly” By arguing pointlessly you mean denouncing injustice so huge that it is killing our country right? So voicing one’s wish for a better and fairer system is pointless? What is meaningful to you then? “over other people’s fabulous life into creating solutions” You mean people’s shameless lives afforded through looting which is the very root of the problem? Why would you even qualify a life of greed obtained through epidemic thievery as ‘fabulous’?

See bankrupt morality. What is wrong with so many Nigerians who put the love of money first before anything else? No channeling of energy can improve anything if the system is broken. No channeling of energy can fix roads, or provide energy, water and healthcare because the funds for such basic amenities are constantly looted by people at the top who can afford ‘fabulous’ lives they will later constantly rubbed on the face of most Nigerians who are not ‘haters’ but ‘poor’, extremely poor , amongst the poorest in the world. And it is always ‘LIVE AND LET LIVE’ for thieves at the top, like the father of this girl, while petty thieves at the bottom get at least 5 years in jail for stealing few pairs of shoes – true story google it.
Nigerians have the leaders they deserve. It is always the same thing when I discuss corruption and politics. I now understand Thabo Mbeki when he said that ordinary Nigerians deserve as much blame as the politicians for the leadership failure in the country. The moral bankruptcy at the top is just a reflection of the moral bankruptcy at the bottom. Even in little Lome in Togo, they have 24/7 water and electricity but no billionaire in dollars – we know of anyway. We have plenty billionaires in dollars and n0 electricity.
      Done.

He has been arraigned with others before the Senate/House of Reps….not my fault the 9ja justice system is so damn corrupt..all that evidence and they still walking free.
How much does he owe the banks…all this stuff is well documented…Google is your best mate!!

Keep saying this with all the corruption if there were power supply we be cool still..would have Technology opening up a myriad of opportunities..coupled with our human and natural resources…foreign firms with tails between their legs would come begging for contracts= more employment…you just have no idea!!..
