BN Beauty: Get Natural Looking Glowing Skin with Cream Blushes!

This is the best time of the year – it isn’t too cold, or too warm, or too dusty or too wet. It’s the perfect time to wear makeup especially all those cream products that you couldn’t wear in the summer or in the Harmattan.

While we don’t want to end up looking like a member of the Jersey Shore cast with heavy makeup and overdone bronzing, we also don’t want to look like we didn’t make any effort to look good. Hence, the one multi-purpose product to save us all – the Cream Blush.

The Cream Blush

Cream blushes come in different shades and textures, and even though it’s not very popular in this part of the world, the cream blush is a must-have product for people who love to do their makeup on the go. The best part is that it can be applied to any part of the face for either a hint of colour or an actual replacement for the powder blush.

Here are a few steps to help get you that beautiful summer glow.

1. For your Eyes: Use your fingers to apply a small amount on the eyelids and then brush mascara through the lashes.
2. For your Cheeks: Dab a little on the cheeks to create a little flush.
3. For your Lips: Use your lip brush to apply the cream blush to the lips for that lip tint look-alike (or apply fully for a full colour coverage)
4. Be sure to use a large powder brush to sweep powder all over the face (including the places where the crème product was applied). This will help to set the crème so it does not move.

And step out the door looking fresh and your skin, glowing.

Applying cream blush can be a little tricky so here is a video from Destiny Godley showing us 3 ways to apply cream blushes with three brushes. Enjoy.

If your skin gets oily enough to fry an egg on on a bad day (like mine), Biko stay away…
