Presenting the S/S14 Collection from Nigerian Label Asakeoge – “Discovery”

Asakeoge Discovery Collection Lookbook - BellaNaija - April2014022

Presenting the “Discovery” collection by UK-based Nigerian designer, Asakeoge.

The collection is inspired by women in history who have made a lasting legacy. Women who discovered purpose and fearlessly chased after destiny. The pieces are named after women like Rosa Parks who is an international icon against racial segregation; Queen Yaa Asantewa of Ghana who fought against British colonialism and more.

The bold bright colours represent their fearlessness and courage while the fabrics which are made from cottons and silks with beaded and sequined details.

We love the fierce nature of the collection, and indeed it can only take a bold woman to work those fab prints. Check it out.

Wow. Your comment emits so much negative criticism. Yes, she is in Lagos now, and she loves it. She wasn’t the one who wrote this article, so telling her to embrace it is unnecessary, since she loves that she’s back home. Second, why not be happy for her? If you have nothing nice to say, please keep it to yourself.

Mb nunu all you have to do is zoom in on the pictures to see the poor tailoring done on most of the pieces. The model is a nono good try though

There’s something that’s not fitting just right with this lookbook. I think the clothes are a little too big. But I LOVE the yellow full length dress. Awesome.
