So Adorable! Kanu Nwankwo’s Daughter Pinky’s Christening Ceremony

Kanu Nwankwo's Daughter's Christening - April 2014 - BellaNaija - 037

We can’t handle how cute the Nwankwo clan is.

Nigerian football legend Kanu Nwankwo and his wife Amarachi held the christening ceremony of their beautiful daughter Pinky Amarachi Kanu Nwankwo in Hadley Wood, London, UK in January 2013.

Although the photos of the sweet family’s event are over a year old, BN decided to share as the memorable occasion is yet to be publicly seen.

The couple who tied the knot in 2004, welcomed Pinky in February 2012. She was also a year old on the day of the christening ceremony.

Daddy’s little girl who shares a striking resemblance with her mother was dressed in a white tulle dress with a pink satin sash.

Her two older brothers, as well as 3 godmothers including football star John Utaka‘s wife, were all beaming at the ceremony.

U ppl dnt understand. 😐 Baba God jus has to remember me all dis girls dat marry comfortable men shei its one head dey have and d same body parts like myself, all dis BN weddings dat would make a sista be thinking,Its well I dnt have a man yet at my age nt evn half man Buh I kno wen its my turn my wedding wuld be reagal ,Happy marriage , Beautiful children .BN would feature my wedding ! N I would make refrence to dis comment

The girls that are comfortable on their own have one head too. Maybe you should try being that and you would attract your kind, abi is it on edegbe line motors you will meet the comfortable guys? no naaaa. Meanwhile, the baby is almost edible! toooooo cute!

In Kanye’s voice “I ain’s saying she a goldigga…………..” See your life, your mission in marriage is for BN to feature your wedding. So if God happens to give you a man who cannot afford the calibre of weddings BN features, you will ask him to carry gun abi. Don’t worry in another 10 years time when you’re still single, you will forget about BN-type wedding and all you’ll be singing is God, just dash me one man. You go learn.

Very funny! But seriously though my fellow Nigerian women- don’t look at what a man has but where he is heading. Last year, I was 36, still single, financially comfortable myself and had resigned myself to single hood but was looking at the possibility of adopting a child or two. But as God would have it, towards the end of last year, I met a guy younger than me but very mature, serious and responsible. I gave him a chance without looking at what he has- guess what? He turned out to be an extremely wealthy man. So girls, please don’t reject any man on account of his status, tribe, colour, nationality, religion, age or whatever- you never really know. You can tell Amarachi Kanu married her husband for love- she is grounded, mature and clearly a good mother! Well done Amarachi and best wishes to you and your family!

Instead of u to be hoping for a genuinely good man, u are here more preoccupied with the wedding day which is a superficial and fleeting event. Nothing wrong with weddings at all….i love them, but i noticed that a lot of u here seeking to find a man emphasize so much on the outlandish wedding part, instead of seeking the important things like happiness and peace. How many people that their weddings have featured on Bella for the past 3 years are still together now? I can count at least 5 that had “ghen ghen” top of the class weddings wey don scatter now….and the rest, we dn’t know how happy they are. A wedding will come and go so quick u’d wonder what happened, and afterwards, u will face the reality of marriage. So u better focus on getting someone who will be patient and good to u despite ur flaws and chill on focusing so much on a “regal wedding” . I know people who did simple court wedding or low-key trad and are so freaking happy. Then there are those who closed down town for their weddings and are no longer together or are miserable in their marriages. Hollywood weddings sef will show u that all that glitters ain’t gold. Focus on the important things and forget trying to impress people with ur “regal wedding”.

I completely concur with what you have said.

It hasn’t escaped me that Bella Naija herself (Uche) did not feature her own beautiful wedding on her site. She seems to know something that all these wannabe’s don’t.

Marriage is much more than all the splendor and grandeur of the wedding day. Yeap, nothing wrong with that, but it is a life long walk and finding a suitable partner for the journey should be the main focus.

    • Fabulicious

      April 30, 2014 at 7:43 am

It is well with you for your comment Nma.I stopped all the wedding oooo’s and aaaa’s when I see people I know who have spent heavy amounts and have been featured here as well who didn’t even last 9 months while some just struggled to live with each other for a year.God’s gift comes in different packages.Open yours and gradually watch things unfold for you.Remember the saying slowly but surely.

This girl looks happy and content. I’m not talking about happiness from marrying money. I’m talking contentment and peace of mind from knowing that your husband loves you limitlessly and puts you and your children first. That, my sisters, is priceless.

Carry go my sister. You are a lucky chap.

Meanwhile BN, it’s the KANU family, not the NWANKWO family. I know it’s a bit confusing, as both names are typically surnames. Nwankwo is his first name.
