??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

A Nigerian woman was turned away from a Trinidad & Tobago airport last Friday, in accordance with the country’s new policies instituted to prevent Ebola from spreading into its territory.

Jamaica Observer reports that after landing at Piarco International Airport, health officials interviewed the woman immediately after she disembarked from a Copa Airlines flight, which had departed from Panama and made a stop in Venezuela.

Because she was a Nigerian national whose travel itinerary originated in Nigeria, she was categorized as among those who would not be allowed to enter the country.

Reports state that the woman is the first individual to be banned from Trinidad & Tobago under the new policies.

Other countries affected by the ban are Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia.

You are so on point chi-e-z
I was wondering how she could go about making them reimburse her when I read the story.
Trinidad should take a cue from the US and send a team to Nigeria to find out how ebola was contained Instead of putting a ban on its citizens. Very unintelligent desicion.

    What an insult!
    Good for us Nigerians.
Come to Canada you will find these Caribbean girls taking courses in travel and tourism, taking full time courses in catering, hotel mgnt and spa…………these are graduates from all over the Caribbean, but you will hardly find a Nigerian International student taking any of such courses because of effizy or shame, even the ones that do fellow Nigerians mock them.
So tell me why Trinidad no go do shakara? The world will always come to them,so they can put whatever policy they like in place. Nigeria with all our wealth, population, human and natural resources, lplus “vacation places potential resources” look at where we still are………………..
We have not even been able to manage common zoo and Museums, talk less of managing or even trying to develop our tourism potentials.

Who Goes to such places in the first place? Didn’t they hear Nigeria has been declared Ebola free? Trinidad should be lucky someone is going there because they ain’t got shit and ain’t all that. The problem they are facing is worse than Ebola. I usually don’t talk bad about no one’s country but they need to stay current with the News before jumping into conclusion.
