Ebola: Sierra Leone Loses its 10th Doctor to Outbreak
Sierra Leone has lost its 10th doctor to Ebola Virus.
The victim, Aiah Solomon Konoyeima, died on Saturday, CBS News reports. Two other doctors had died from the virus two days prior to Konoyeima’s death.
Sources say the deceased was working at a children’s hospital in the country when he was diagnosed with Ebola two weeks ago. He was receiving treatment at Hastings Ebola Treatment Center when he passed away.
An estimated 6,200 people have died from Ebola. Victims are mostly in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. According to reports, the virus is spreading fastest in Sierra Leone.
