This your “married couple” tag is very distracting. It almost seems as if their marriage is relevant to the event complained of or the investigation thereof. You can simply refer to them as ‘husband and wife’ or ‘couple’.
I really hope and pray that this doesn’t end up like all the other everlasting investigations in Nigeria. Nigerians deserve to see justice in this case and all others like it.

The action of the woman DPO is regratable. I pray she should also be displined. Tell me what type of talk/challenge from trhe couple that could justify this babaric beating. thank God they were not shot and labelled armed robbers, save for the driver. many innocent nigerians have gone this way unchallenged. The leader of the patrol team should be held responsible more.
this case must not be swept under the carpet

Power of the new age media. Happy that the IG has taken up the matter and please let it not end with just writing grammar and making promises. We want to see action taken and dwelt with as well. First that DPO of a woman needs to be either sacked or demoted 3 ranks down simple and plane and the police officers involved sacked completely.
