The 5th edition of the annual Woman Rising by The Life House, run by the co-Founder Ugoma Adegoke, held over the weekend and it was a spectacular event.
The Woman Rising 2015, held to celebrate International Women’s day by inspiring and influencing women through a series of event, was a chance for successful hard working women to connect and network.
The two day event – held on Saturday, the 21st of March 2015 and Sunday, the 22nd of March 2015 – was hosted by Kemi Lala Akindoju and Aderonke Adebanjo.
The first part of the 2015 Woman Rising was held at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi and had strong and admirable women in attendance. At the event Obiageli Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education, gave an amazing speech on how women can make a change in our world by not settling for what people think we should be.
As part of the two-day celebration there was also a screening of the award-winning documentary film ‘The Supreme Price’ held at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island.
The final event & concert was held at Federal Palace, Victoria Island Lagos and sponsored by SKY vodka.
The evening showcased a host of homegrown and international female musicians such as Rolake Akinkugbe, Modele, Tonye, Bumi Thomas and Irene Bill.
