Love at its Finest! Salma Busari & Randy Idugboe’s Labadi Beach Hotel Wedding
Salma Busari & Randy Idugboe finally went on a date after the groom’s persistence. They hit it off from that day, have been inseparable ever since, and had a gorgeous garden wedding at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
It was a beautiful and fun day as DJ Jimmy Jatt was on the wheels of steel, while AY the Comedian MC-ed the reception.
BellaNaija Weddings wishes Salma and Randy a happy home!

She’s The One!
by the groom, Randy
I remember the first day I saw Salma. It was at a birthday party that my friend had invited me to. As we were gisting outside, a group of ladies were approaching the party. I noticed Salma instantly in the crowd. She was so beautiful … effortlessly beautiful. I noticed she also had a quiet demeanor, but her beauty was loud and captivating. I was instantly drawn to her. I had to talk to her. So I asked my friend who she was, and he replied saying, “don’t go there”. Apparently beautiful Salma was a ‘no go zone’. Several guys had tried to talk to her but failed. Instead of being discouraged by this information however, I wanted her more. I was intrigued by her. But I went home that day without talking to her.As luck would have it, I saw Salma again. This same friend invited me once again to his brother-in-law’s house. He said Salma was going to be there since they were related. So I gave it another shot. This was my chance.
I just stared at her, trying to figure out how I was going to approach her. I eventually talked to her, and after much hesitation and convincing, Salma gave me her number. I called her number after that day, excited with high hopes of setting up our first date … but she didn’t pick up. So I called the next day, and the next, and the next, annnnd the next, but still no answer. Had she given me the wrong number? I confirmed her number with some mutual friends and realized she just wasnt picking up my calls. After begging some of our mutual friends to convince Salma to pick up, Salma started picking up my calls and finally agreed to go out on a date with me.That’s all I needed, a chance to prove myself. All I needed was one date. And I wowed her :-). More like she wowed me. I’d never met anyone like her before. We had an instant connection. There was so much more to this beautiful woman. She was very humble, well mannered, kind and so sweet. I fell in love with her almost instantly. I knew this was someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
Our relationship has blossomed into something so beautiful. Salma is the woman I have always envisioned and prayed for. She gives me peace and so much joy. It’s really a blessing to know her, a blessing to have her as my wife.My Salma is truly an amazing woman. I thank God for her life and look forward to having a blessed future with God on our side.
The Love Story
from Salma, the bride
Randy is such a blessing in my life. I am truly lost for words when it comes to describing this blessing of a man that God has given me. I love him so much and I thank God each day for bringing him into my life. The memory of how we first met is forever etched in my heart.I first met Randy in my cousin’s house. My cousin and her husband held a small gathering in loving memory of her brother-in-law who had just passed away, (may his soul rest in perfect peace). It was a solemn day, with just close family and friends around. After the ceremony, I sat in the living room quietly playing with a friend’s daughter.
And then out of nowhere I saw this guy staring at me. This guy was STARING so hard! I deliberately looked behind me to see if he was looking at something else, but no, all his attention was fixed on me! And He was staring so confidently too…“like yeah, I’m looking at you, what can you do?” kind of stare with a sly smile… It was both uncomfortable and interesting at the same time. Another guy, who I later found out was a close friend to Randy, walked up to me and said, “My friend over there likes you”.
I ended up giving ‘Mr Starer’ my number, and later decided not to pick up his calls. For the next three months! After being pressured by some mutual friends :-), I started picking up his calls, every now and then and I finally agreed to go on a date with him.Everything changed after our first date. I felt like I had known Randy all my life during our first date. We were compatible on so many levels. Kindred Spirits. I looked forward to seeing him again after our first date.
Our friendship quickly blossomed and we fell very madly in love with each other. It was very easy to fall in love with Randy. Randy is a genuinely good guy. He’s the most caring person I know, always looking out for others, with no selfish interest. He is very, very, verrrrrrry hardworking and smart. He is also one of the funniest people I know. I don’t think he even realizes how funny he is…lol.Such a blessing in my life. I love him with every fibre of my being. He gives me peace and stablity. He is my home. Through the highs and lows of our relationship, my dear Randy has never given me any cause to worry. He allows me to be me….just me…Salma… and encourages me to always be the best I can be.
He makes me feel safe. His favorite words are ‘I got you’. Those three simple words work magic every time he says them. When I’m upset about anything not going well, he just gives me a little reminder with those three words; ‘I got you’. It feels wonderful to have someone who loves you unconditionally just for who you are, and will always have your back no matter the situation? Words cannot even express such a feeling. It’s truly divine.

Just beautiful. HML!!!
I love the fact that they seem to have a real love, based on deeper things….rather than all this shallow ‘my babe be so fine ooo’ stuff (*ahem* kanye *ahem*)
And she definitely treated him mean and kept him keen! Classy!
Seriously

Yeah, you can feel the genuine love and care they have for each other. Bride has a sultry beauty, groom is handsome. God will continue to increase their love for each other. This type of thing makes me feel I’m in the wrong relationship. All I want my man to say sometimes is, “I got you” or “I understand”. That will melt my ice heart away. I’m just tired of dealing with the complexity of relationship.

This is the cutest story ever. Especially the part of not picking calls. This is so me. I give my number but no intention of picking the call at all.
I was in a horrible rel so right now my brain, heart, eyes, nose and skin is shut off from relationships. As in my psychologist says im weary off the past, but i will get over it slowly but surely.
I hope to find a good man someday. My soulmate, lover, and friend. Yes i believe in fairy tales when it comes to love. It happened for my mum and sister. Their story is just too mishy and i want that. (With their permission i can share). An they found it early (my sis was 26) and late my mum was 33.
She refused to settle… They called meetiing on my mums head but she said that if her heart aint beating fast for him then he is not mine. Till she treated my dad during the war and her heart skipped. So yes i will wait!
Call me deludional, old, gwegwegwe, not realistic but i will wait for my heart beat… Afterall it was the rush to be in a rel that made me end up with an abuser… So yes i will wait.
Kisses y’all … XoXo miss waiting for my knight in shinning armor

@Toosingleforwords, I met my hubby when “I was too weary of the past” my heart was on lock down so it made room for us to be just friends and since i had known him most of life, i did not see a risk in anything serious coming from said friendship but lo and behold and it did and the butterflies came slowly. I am a testament that love finds you when you least expect it. But when they came I did not hide or pretend they did not exist. Nooo i was very honest about it. I was only 18

Such a good-looking couple, and they seem so much in love. Their love and they way they speak about each other seem very ‘solid’ and real beyond the physical.
A thought- Why do people give out their numbers and deliberately not pick up the calls afterwards? isn’t it playing games? is it a hard-to-get thing? or is it an i’m-not-feeling-you-but-i’m-too-polite-to-say-no thing? This is an honest question because i see it happen and i get confused as to the rationale behind it.
Another thought – Sometimes, playing hard-to-get ends well, sometimes, it doesn’t.
Peace.

Loool, i do it a lot, because I don’t want to talk too much and some guys can die on top your matter when you say no, its like you are forming on top phone number. So I pick the first time to identify you and never again.

The girl is very lucky to meet this humble good looking guy and should see herself lucky and cherish him forever. There are many beautiful girls out there and not as luck! Beauty is not the most important thing in a marriage. Beauty fades but when it does, good character, respect for the family you are married into is what stands out and of course the fear of God!!! HML and all the best.

Sometimes it’s just to get the person off your case at that moment, particularly when they are being insistent. So you may just give out the number to have some peace, but not with the intention of picking/returning their calls.

I dont even care about what they do or where they are from. All i know is that they are genuinely in love and it radiates from their faces. It shows that its not about how much is spent on the wedding or who your parents are,its about finding the right person you want to spend the rest of your life with.
