Genevieve Nnaji, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu & More | Official Photos from Stephanie Linus’ ‘Dry’ Movie Premiere

3H0A5722On Sunday, August 2, Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus premiered her highly anticipated movie ‘Dry’ at the Silverbird Cinema in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was attended by several movie industry enthusiasts including her husband Linus Idahosa, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu, Ruth Osime, Nkiru Anumudu, Tara Fela-Durotoye, Ray Kyles and more.

We love seeing Stephanie Linu glow with her baby bump!

The movie written, produced, directed by, and starring Stephanie Linus, is an inspired true story that follows a trail of Zara’s (played by Stephanie Linus) trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her child hood, her experiences and heartaches while working with young girls suffering from complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African culture. It is full of intrigue, suspense, unbelievable surprises, the joy of reconciliation and the power of the human spirit that is guaranteed to captivate and engage moviegoers.

Right here is what we call POWER COUPLE and not all those instagram ones parading themselves. And they look so cute together.
Looking forward to watching the movies, hopefully it doesn’t disappoint me.

    Congratulations Stephanie!
May God bless the works of your hands in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

Not trying to be mean, but Ruth Osime, don’t you have friends? You and Mo Abudu are friends, I don’t understand. You hardly ever look well put together. You don’t have to look like a fashionista, just look well put together and appropriate.

Congratulations Stephanie on baby and movie. May the Good Lord grant you a safe delivery.

These pictures did not flatter a lot of the attendees. I don’t know if it is the weaves or layers of make up. They all came off looking old and tired. Even the usual slayers!

I don’t think she is pitying her though… She is celebrating her and how far she has come in life.
      Every great thing happens small.
      God bless your hustle Steph.
I am so happy for you and the success you are enjoying. May your happiness remain permanent. x

I don’t like the way pregnancy looks on mostly West African women. They just blow up all over and look really old. I don’t notice that as much with Whites or African Americans, it seems like only their belly grows with slight increase in other areas. Anyway I wish Steph a smooth pregnancy and a safe delivery. That movie theatre has to be the most packed theatre I’ve seen. I can’t imagine sitting so close to so many people for hours watching a movie.

” they just blow up and look really old” wow, what a wonderful thing to say about women who spend 9 months worrying about bringing healthy babies into the world. Class act!????? Incase you dont know pregnancy affects different women in different ways. No two pregnancies are the same…. So only west African women blow up when they are pregnant…. Oya take. ??????? Receive sense

Your comment sounds ignorant tho. It makes me laugh.
Pregnancy is different for everyone… Whilst I understand that it may look obvious pls can you stop this oyinbo comparison…..not cool.

Many of them looked sweaty. Cleopatra WTF with that hair. 1st time I’m seeing Karen with her hair in almost 30 years. In one of the pics she looked like she was attaching. Genevieve didn’t extend her hand. Ruth Osime always looks like she needs a scrub. A fashion editor that can’t dress to save her life. God bless Mr and Mrs Linus. I wish her a safe delivery.

Oh, dear! I thought Ruth Osime was a man. What happened to her hairline? She looks terrible! I cant understand why an editor of a magazine such as This Day Sunday Mag would look this bad. Tie a scarf next time and darken your eyebrows. Nothing fun about that blonde!

Where is that ex husband of hers? Come and Stephanie glowing! To all those praying for a child, to all who have been mocked because of childlessness, your prayers will be answered.

Congrats to Stephanie and hubby on the baby. I don’t know if it’s the lighting, the heavy make-up or the angles the photos were taken cos they aren’t that good. Rita looks good in baby pink though. On a side note ,I’ve noticed that many Nigerian women even our celebs like to use foundation several shades lighter than their skin tone ,it’s not flattering at all and neither is it going to make the person appear fairer instead they look just look caked on and older in the face.
I’d love to see this movie, sounds like it’ll be interesting.

Congrats Stephanie for contributing positively to Nigeria’s movie industry… Its obvious friends dont advise one another.. Cleopatra with that hair and attire… It looked like they were forcing themselves to take pictures with other attendees..

I know i might sound really morbid but the vein in Genevieve’s cubital fossa is so prominent. A Dr won’t require much work when sticking a needle lol

My perspective of Nigerian movies have always been the same kinda monotonous sequence….same movie, different day! It will be a cold day in hell b4 i pay to see a Nigerian movie at the cinemas. However i saw this movie at the premiere and for the first time in a long time, i was totally impressed! Maybe it was the factual nature of the story telling, or maybe it was the raw emotions projected through to the audience, whatever it was, it was good to finally see a movie without the regular Nollywood signature faces. The movie was a refreshing departure from the “norm” and a translation of Stephanie’s passion for the empowerment of the female child. #SayNoToChildMarriage #VVFKills!

congrats to stephanie on her movie premiere, i hope it’s better than her first movie. on another not, genevieve looks frumpy and old from head to toe. i know her hair is natural but she needs better wigs. her dress sense has always been poor, so nothing to say there.

@ ellasie or wateva ur name is…. How many Oyinbo celebrity do u see at thier 8th or 9th month. U cant get thier pic anymore from d 9month. Even oyinbos demselves talk abt d false presentation portrayed.I take it that u ve not been pregnant before. no matter how thin u were u will swell or blow. Then again some women, including Africans look a bit added, with long belly and swollen face. So just drop d comparison. If not i ll pray for a round u, during ur time…..
