This Thought Leadership program which was organized by P&G, a leading consumer goods manufacturing company was put together in partnership with the Federal Government’s Growing Girls and Women in Nigeria (GWiN) and the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWiN).
The program was facilitated by a combined team of P&G Leadership personnel and select external facilitators in a bid to create the opportunity for participants to be taken through basic business management training and literacy skills.
At the training session, Temitope Iluyemi, the Director of Global Government Relations for P&G encouraged participants to put into practice the basic modern business management training and literacy skills they acquired from the training as they have a key role to play in the overall development of the country. She categorically listed job and wealth creation, rapid economic development, higher standard of living as some of the immense benefits that Nigeria stands to gain from a thriving SME culture.
The SME academy was designed to train and equip promising entrepreneurs, especially those from less privileged backgrounds, to better contribute to the growth and development of the country.
