So Sad! See Official Photos from Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Funeral

GettyImages-482653192_594_screenBobbi Kristina Brown has been laid to rest and her funeral took place on Saturday (August 1).

According to reports, she was laid to rest with the help of her late mother Whitney Houston‘s music and the final song that was played during the ceremony was Whitney‘s version of “Jesus Loves Me.”

Tyler Perry as well as several members of both the Houston and Brown families spoke at the funeral, but her father Bobby Brown was not listed as a speaker, according to TMZ.

He, however, left a message in the funeral’s program that said, “I also will always love you.”

If you’ll forgive me, I think it is very unfair to judge from a moment captured by the click of a camera.

I was going through the album from my friends fathers burial many years back. He died young: Barely 50. I came across a particular picture where they were standing beside his open casket, my friend, his two sister’s and their mum. And they were laughing. Not just. the quiet type: it was the head flung back, full throated, belly constricting kind of laugh. In the next picture their eyes were full of unshed tears as their mother stroked her dead husbands face. in the one after they all clung to their mum as they consoled each other.

You were not there. You can only see what the camera will permit you to. Not the moment before, not the one after. Don’t be quick to draw conclusions to justify a thought that is only half formed.

You acquired all the nails and hit them right on!

It’s interesting how people interpret what they see. I remember the day of my brother’s internment, my brother and sister-in-law sat in the car quietly till I said “Sage just chilling in that plot like a boss. Dude will never have to deal with buying petrol and pulling gen ever again. What a luxury” That stuff cracked everybody up. We were laughing and laughing and laughing. You know the sort of laughter that you’re afraid to stop because if you stop, you’ll only be opening the dam. I mean, what I said wasn’t funny at all. He frigging died from a generator fire. Wouldya look at the irony!?

If anybody had seen us laughing, maybe they would have thought we were happy. Coping with grief is not BEANS!

Quite sad, in as much as we want to quickly blame her parents we should also remember that she has been an adult (18+) for the past 3 years, she had legal, ethical and moral sense to have made better decisions and a conscious ability to be better than the home she is coming from.. Many of us perhaps even some commentators have worse dysfunctional families than she did but found ways to come out and be something meaningful regardless of the obstacles. I’m not applauding or encouraging their alleged negative influence over their daughter but i’m saying let’s call it what it is, she haboured wrong habits and i’m not sure sort help until it was too late.
