Social Media Movement Tackles Gender Inequality in Nigeria: #HumanBeforeWoman #HumanBeforeMan
Have you ever been discriminated against because of your gender?
A Nigerian woman, “Lady B” (@KBUdeogu), recently took to Twitter to share her experience with gender discrimination, and it got people talking.
Here is what she said:
A man hit my car on my way to work and told me that as a woman I don’t understand what happened,he’d like to speak to my husband and explain

I’m looking at the dude like, tf? I’m not wearing a wedding ring and even if I was, you hit my car not my husband’s car!

And the man refused to talk to me, kept saying “you’re a woman you won’t understand, let talk to your husband and explain to him”

And all the men around agreed with him, said I should give him my husband’s number so they’d sort it out man to man.
