#HeinekenLFDW2015 – Day 1: Fashion Focus – Luvita, P.O.C & Zapel!
It’s time for find out what the Fashion Focus Top 16 finalists have to offer.
The 2015 edition of the British Council Fashion Focus kicked off yesterday at Day 1 of Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015, with the first batch of 4 showcasing their talent to a room filled with fashion gurus, editors, photographers and more.
Showcasing their 2016 collections were fashion brands – Zapel, Luvita & P.O.C. The Onwuchekwa brand is yet to showcase.

Luvita Creations
This womenswear fashion introduced its Efik-inspired collection at LFDW yesterday. The aim of the collection is to modernise and still appreciate the rich culture in the South Eastern region of Nigeria.
The brand focused on individuality and diversity for the collection, with pieces that can be detached, bold & fun paisley print and more.

The Designer – Lolevyn Ita
P.O.C
Next up is menswear from Papa Omisore of P.O.C. After his debut last year with ready-to-wear tunics, Papa has taken his fashion brand to the next level as a finalists for this year’s Fashion Focus.
At last night’s event he showcased a collection that defines the P.O.C Man. The pieces had clean and monochromatic patterns, paired with gladiator sandals in true P.O.C fashion.

Zapel
Say hello to luxury in Chioma Ebubedike Igbokwe of Zapel’s world of fashion.
Also one of the top 16 finalists, the fashion brand debuted modern and bold prints on dresses, shorts, tunics and more. It had a strong sport luxe vibe that we liked very much. The pieces look comfortable and cool, and the fluffy headphones gave the entire collection a dainty feel.
