I don’t even care if the Pope attended the wedding. The Bible says all things are open and naked before God whom we have to do. It’s God that matters!! Was He there?? Gods word can’t be broken regardless of who is involved he is no respecter of persons, His word already states this as wrong in Romans 1.

If your child or sibling was gay, and decided to get hitched, you wouldn’t attend the ceremony?

I will not! And for someone professing to know God, he should know better. 1 corinthians 6:9,10 condemns it. Remember God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for such a sin.
1 corinthians 5:11-13 says you should not mix or even eat with a such a person. So attending the person’s wedding is doing just that! Besides, it’sencouraging such acts!

If your child or sibling was a criminal, would you take part in his/her robberies and other suspicious escapades? Think before you speak please! A word is enough for the wise

This is a wrong presumption because My child or sibling would not be involved in a gay relationship in the first place. I brought them up as God fearing and STRAIGHT children. So, there is no ‘If’ because I sorted out the mess long before it happened.

With the way the catholic church is headed, the Pope scenario may not be too far away. I agree with you that whatever happens in the world, God’s Word will continue to stand unchanging and true. Even when every religious and secular institution falls, God’s Word will remain.

”This God—His way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true.” Psalm 18:30.

I am thankful Nigeria hasn’t bowed to Western pressure in the matter of gay marriage (though with the way the world is going, this may not be long). Hopefully we will also pay attention to other kinds of sexual immorality including the numerous horror stories of pedophilia, rape and domestic violence that have passed into normal news in Nigeria.

      January 5, 2016 at 10:06 am

Please, Christianity does certainly not ascrib to the rule of “careless freedom”. In fact, the God of Christians is a disciplinarian who highly values his rules and commandments given to his Children.

    • Nigerian Prince

      January 5, 2016 at 6:07 pm

@Abena. And…your statement calling me judgmental is totally not judgmental. OK. But seriously, where do people get a picture of this rainbows-and-flowers god in the same Bible that repeatedly talks about God’s vengeance (Ezekiel 25:17) and His immense hatred for sin?

All sin is offensive to God, and homosexuality is just one of the many listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person away from eternal life. That said, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a repentant homosexual as it is to a repentant adulterer, drunkard, idol worshipper, murderer, or thief.

”And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11.

Haha, but the Bible condemns same sex lust , not love and you should know, that as a big Christian against homosexuals, that the term homosexual was only coined in 1879. By Karl Heinrich Ulrichs. Who did a study on embryology, finding that the sex organs are undifferentiated in the earliest stages, thus making same sex attraction as natural as opposite sex attraction

If you believe gay marriage is a sin according to the bible then make sure you know these things.
Divorced people cant remarry mark 10:8-11
Rapist can marry their victims deutron 22: 28-29
Siblings can get married Gen 20:12
Polygamy is acceptable 1 kings 11:8. Quit quoting scriptures and give logical explaination. Same Love

Apart from the first passage from the new testament, did you notice al others are from the old? What did Jesus say about the law? Do you also remember Paul’s epistle to the early church?
They continued speaking against unnatural acts. Men lusting after their kinds. Yes according to the law of Moses if a man rapes a girl, he is forced to marry her or he is exiled. It was accepted as law in the new testament but Jesus and the disciples and early Christians kept on speaking against unnatural acts, men lusting after their kinds etc. there is no judgment her but God’s word stands sure and that is all that matters.

Good for him. If same sex marriage is what brings the so called end time or last days I have to wonder if God has been paying attention to anything that’s been happening on this planet in the past 2,000 years. To say that the marriage of two consenting adults who happen to be of the same sex is the least of humanity’s worries is probably the understatement of the decade. Y’all can’t be serious.

  12. Natu

Funny how this so called religious folks will bash homosexuality but will turn around and embrace their adulterous husbands/wives. Sin is sin. No one sin is greater than the other. Y’all can miss me with the end time tings. This right here is unconditional love and that is what GOD is about!!

    • Chi

Homosexuality truly should be the least of anyones worries in Nigeria or anywhere for that matter. We have much bigger issues to tackle to be very honest!

Anyways, my point is please remove the log from your eye first, before you talk about the speck in another mans eye and also, Do Not judge others because you sin differently! Sin is sin in the eyes of God!

Nope! Not at all. What I am trying to say is that people love to throw homosexuals under the bus like its the worst kind of thing one can do or be. But in God’s eyes all sin is equal. Also accompanying him will be everyone who has ever attended a wedding where the couple have engaged or is engaging in fornication, debauchery, greed, lies, extortion……..oh wait!, why should they be burnt? Those sins are small ones compared to homosexuality- the ‘biggest’ sin!.

Hypocrite righteous people everywhere! Living in sin and then turning around to condemn a fellow sinner.

Adultery, fornication, stealing and all the numerous sins you mention can never make lesbianism or gay marriage less than sin. It’s unfortunate that he would attend the marriage ( because he is in a position of influence to many growing Christians).
Plus how come she was married and had 2 kids previously.
I weep for the next generation, but I encouraged all true Christians to keep spreading the word, homosexuality may not be our greatest problems at the moment, but it may become a cause for concern in the near future.
Christian parents do not ignore your children, pay close attention to them.

You people are being ignorant and misdirected by your uncivilized and dogmatic emotions and mindset. God did not destroy the world because of homosexuality. He did because of sodomy. Sodomy is not the same as homosexuality. Sodomy is anal sex while homosexuality is not necessarily anal sex as it is perceived wrongly but popularly in public eye. More ‘straight’ people engage In sodomy today than homosexuals in staggering proportions. And for the woman who is so sure that none of her children will turn out homosexual because she raised them well, let her think again because she is pathetically wrong. People are homosexuals at birth and from the womb, there is no amount of ‘good’ home training that will ‘straighten’ them. It’s natural and they can’t escape or run away even though they attend a thousand and one deliverance sessions in a day. Homosexuals are better raised and better taught and better behaved than her kids can ever be so she should be reasonable and learn not to offend other people. The way we treat Homosexuals push them into extreme psychological trauma and troubles, some end up committing suicides, others live in depressing state of constant denials, pretense, fear and guilt over what they cannot change. It’s like trying to run away from your skin even though you know God coated you with it but the society around you insist its abomination. And when we talk about homosexuality, murdersers, adulterers, fornicators, corrupt politicians who rob the country silly will also open their mouth and start condemnation. Na wa for this country o.
