In the bride’s hometown of Abiriba in Abia state, style influencer Noble Igwe and brand manager Chioma Otisi are having their traditional wedding.

Noble proposed in December with a Rebecca Noff sparkler – the same jewelry brand also designed Toolz‘ engagement ring.

The couple’s white wedding is coming soon in Lagos. Bride’s makeup is by Doranne Beauty, dress by Tubo, and she was styled by Jane Michael Ekanem. Professional photos are by Kola Oshalusi.

Here’s a first look!

I just want to see more “chinedu weds yetunde” and “nwabueze weds gbemisola” to balance out the ubiquitous “emeka weds chioma” and “dapo weds ngozi”.

You know I always wondered about that in my time at Unilag. It seems so many Yoruba boys had no problems dating outside their tribe, be it Igbo, Rivers, Cameroon, they go go go for am, but Ibo boys didn’t seem to date Yoruba girls at the same rate Yoruba boys dated Yoruba girls. But in Yankee it’s different oh. Igbo boys dey chase akata girls no be small oh. But perhaps for papertingz though and I’m not sure how many end up in marriage either…

      March 28, 2016 at 8:27 pm

Why? If you don’t mind me asking.

    • Belema

      March 28, 2016 at 11:53 pm

Joke that’s because most Yoruba girls might not marry the Igbo guys (in most cases) in the long run, so the Yoruba girls will either refuse to date the Igbo guys or the Igbo guy wouldn’t bother after some point. It’s the same for Igbos too, not just Yoruba’s. Parents in most tribes find it hard for their daughters going into another tribe, they don’t mind if it’s the sons doing it, cause they believe the bride will become their tribe, traditionally. But for the girls, it’s a problem. Most Igbos don’t let their daughter even marry from other states outside theirs, even if it’s an Igbo state. Generally, it’s harder for the girls.

Lol.! Maybe Igbo men need to take a good look at themselves in order to stop the Igbo babes from fleeing.
Anyway, there are at least three BN weddings where an Igbo groom marries a non-Igbo men.

I guess you are blind then cos that “Noble” was able to snatch a fine young and gorgeous lady. Can’t you see her? On your best day, you will still probably look like a masquerade standing next to his wife and that’s all that matters. When will women stop underestimating men bikonu?

Thanks for using the green white green colors on your tent Noble.. I honestly just found more respect for you this patriotic act of yours amidst the ongoing Biafra madness. Saw a few uneducated monkeys at Dundas square over the weekend protesting the release of the Biafra leader who i don’t care to know his name. I went close to them and asked few questions they failed to give logical answers to. They even had to pay a nunce white preacher who’s got no idea of the topic in question.

    • Ijebujesha

      March 28, 2016 at 8:19 pm

I am Yoruba and a conc, very local Yoruba for that matter. It amounts to plain stupidity to denigrate a people because they seek their fundamental human rights. Every indigenous people in the world have a right to self-determination and that much has been affrmed by the UN. Nigeria as it is today is a product of the white man’s sojourn into Africa. The many ethnic nations that make up Nigeria did not choose to be part of Nigeria. Isn’t it time for Africa to move away from her colonial past? If any combination of ethnic nations choose to align and form a national union, great! However, good conscience, fairness and justice dictate that every ethnic nation has a right to detemine and pursue its own national identity. If Yorubas are ok with the Nigerian union, good for Yorubas. But to insist that another ethnic nation which you don’t belong to should not forge a national identity for themselves is not only arrogant but it’s also very stupid.

Well said. Wisdom so rare you want to celebrate it. Kudos, once again.

    • you are blessed

      April 1, 2016 at 7:04 am

Let me tell you something Ijebujesha, the God that I serve, the God of the Igbos will bless you and your family, whatever you lay your hands on shall prosper and turn to gold, just as you have been very considerate, fair, and kind in your words so also will everyone you meet in this life treat you (and those who agreed with you here) with fairness, understanding and tolerance. some people use their mouths to attract blessings to themselves, and that is what you have just done, you are incredibly wise.

    • you are blessed

      April 1, 2016 at 7:14 am

Now, just as I have prayed for that wonderful Yoruba person down below, let me tell you and those who agreed with you on here what will happen to you. as your heart is black, evil, and closed that you cannot even sympathize with your fellow humans, in fact with people you share the same disastrous country with, may everybody you and your agreers come in contact with in this life persecute, misunderstand and never tolerate you, as ur heart is polluted with this kind of thinking, may it continue to remain dark and polluted until you people change your wicked thinking and ways. lol, I pity some of you, some of you will come online under the guise of anonymity and be forming boss not knowing the kind of people who are online with you, if you so love that crumbling shame of a country that was wrongly put together by the white man who many of you love to adore and emulate, then stay and “enjoy”, leave the people whose eyes have been opened to the white man’s antics and manipulation and continue to wallow in your collective mental slavery. you have used ur mouth to bring curse for yourself, be careful in this life.

It’s not just all bout a woman’s beauty. Without the right character as a wife, that marriage could hit the rocks. My advice is every wife should love, protect and respect their husbands as to sustain their marriages.

      March 29, 2016 at 6:41 am

If you are a woman, you sound like the type of woman who would remain while their husbands keep beating them ihe tinker kuru pan until he finally kills her, like the kind that would stay while their husbands cheat repeatedly and eventually give them a deadly disease. my dear, the days of being silent and mistreated as a woman is going fast, no sane woman now is going to risk her life to make a marriage work, that is the man and woman’s job. and if you’re a man, you sound like a complete ass, chauvinistic and abusive men are also fading fast in today’s world because people are wising up, I suggest you do the same.
