The work created by students on the University’s architecture, art and design, creative technologies, and media and performing arts courses will be showcased at a series of venues in London.

In addition to students and staff, the launch attracted more than 2,800 external visitors, the most ever for the graduate show.

There were also demonstrations of motion capture, virtual reality and a chance to see a developing feature film, Stina and the Wolf.

Dean of CCI, Professor Catherine Harper, said:

“This was the best possible start to the Faculty’s Graduate Show 2016, and it was absolutely delightful to see so many people – many of them from the wider Portsmouth community – taking pleasure in the work of our extremely talented students.

Professor Harper will be visiting a number of Nigerian Colleges and Universities in November 2016.  The University of Portsmouth is renowned for its creative bachelors and masters degree courses including Architecture, Fashion and Textile Design and Creative Technologies. University Representatives are currently in Nigeria, meeting with students who are due to study at Portsmouth from September and if you want to study at a modern University located on the South Coast of England, then why not make an appointment?  Register here to meet with Senior International Officer, Jenny Hyde and Dr David Ndzi.

Coinciding with the launch, March Architecture students unveiled a temporary timber installation at the corner of Guildhall Walk, created with Portsmouth City Council and young people from the Brook Club in Somerstown in the #IHeartPompey project.
