The Senior Pastor of the church Ghandi Olaoye while welcoming the Ooni and his about 60-man entourage described him as an ambassador of peace and harmony who is well loved by the people around the world. He also attributed his success so far recorded to his humility and dedication to the Almighty God who he has always referred to as king of kings.

“Kabiyesi you are man of peace and harmony. You have so far done very well as a king who loves the masses and loved by the people around the world. Your outstanding success within this short time on the throne of your forefathers is as a result of your humility and dedication to God who you have always called the kings of kings.

Your Majesty, your presence in our our midst today is a divine one for today is the fathers day and we hope you will represent all the father’s back home here as the overall father of Yoruba nation. This is very historic and am sure it will remain indelible in the minds of the entire church members,” Olaoye said.

In his short speech before the congregation, His Imperial Majesty expressed delights over the reception accorded him and his entourage. He promised to continue to work for the masses and always exhort God as the only king of kings who not only created him but has also done several unforgettable positive wonders in his life.

“Thank you so much for this warm reception for me and my people here today. I will always work for the masses and I shall never hesitate to continue exhorting the Almighty God who has been my only strength. He is the only king of kings and my creator who has done numerous unforgettable positive wonders in my life.

Yes, today is the fathers day but God is the one we all should be celebrating today because he is the only father of all fathers who does not eat our food or drink our wine, the only thing he expects from us is exhortations and we must not fail in giving it to him always,” the Ooni said.

I get what you mean. But actually in the Catholic Church after the procession as soon as mass begins the pope or the bishop takes off his cap. Next time is during consecration.

Well the Pope and Bishops are leaders in the church and No it has not stopped them from praying to God. As i put ‘tradition’ not ‘faith’ or ‘conviction’.
You did not have to be on the defensive, its was just an observation. I like your Kabiyesi lol

Traditional rulers who cant open their heads in church should stay home. Even the church leaders who put one thing or the other on the head are disobeying God.God knows there would be leaders in the church when He inspired the Apostle Paul to write down the words of 1st Corinthians 11:4 & 5 as a guide to male and female who intend to worship God in a way that pleases Him not in a way that pleases humans. God is above traditions. The king of kings as someone said.
