2016 Season of Soyinka: Jide Kosoko, Chigul, Emmaohmygod, Oreka Godis & Kenneth Uphopho Get Together For the Classic Play ‘The Trials Of Brother Jero’ | July 8th & 9th



outdoorLive Theatre on Sunday Theatre Production presents Wole Soyinka’s comic masterpiece, ‘The Trials of Brother Jero’ for the 2016 Season of Soyinka on July 8th and 9th 2016 at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

‘The Trials of Brother Jero’ written by Wole Soyinka, is a hilarious comedy set on the now defunct Lagos Bar Beach featuring an unscrupulous young prophet and his antics. Originally published in 1969, the play which lampoons greed in society is a classic comedy piece bound to relax its audience.

The play is directed by Kenneth Uphopho (‘Saro The Musical’, ‘London Life, Lagos Living’ and ‘Paw Studios’ ) and  produced by Adenugba Oluwanishola (Live Theatre on Sunday Series, King Baabu, Belong, A True Christmas Story , Band Aid), and parades Nigeria’s entertainment heavy weights including Chigul, Emmaohmygod, Oreka Godis ( Host, UrbanFM  and Ebonylife TV’s Love Lounge , Actress and Celebrity), Jide Kosoko, Patrick Diabuah (‘Saro The Musical’, ‘Before30’, ‘Wakaa The Musical’), Paul Alumona, Debbie Ohiri (Naija Woman ‘Hear Word’), Goodness Emmanuel (‘Band Aid’, ‘Shattered’) Opeyemi Dada and a host of other fantastic talents.

Date: Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th 2016 by 3pm and 7pm respectively.
Venue: Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Tickets are on sale at TerraKulture, Victoria Island at N5,000 for Regular Tickets and 15,000 for Prestige Class Tickets.

    I just wish we’d have better venues for these plays (i’m assuming Radisson doesn’t have a theatre-style seating arrangement).
