I don’t want a friend like this. Absolute nonsense. Whatever happens to putting the money in a trust fund for the kid? Does the child know a Range from a buggy? Common sense ain’t so common after all.

Lool you need to breathe out fam. You’re assuming he won’t open an account for her, pay her tuition etc. I’m pretty sure he plans on taking care of the child financially, and that he knows a baby can’t drive a Range Rover

You seem pretty sure of a lot. When it is free govt money, it is easy to be foolish. Ihope he also insured the car. Osas and Gbenro are a young couple just starting life. Don’t go and saddle them with unnecessary debt. Fueling, maintenance, insurance cost money. Not to talk of unnecessary exposure to hungry bad boys in this buhari times.

To think l thot you were one of the sensible ones here.
How come no one is asking what this giver does for a living? Instead, most people here are Oohing and Aahing. Tomorrow now you lot will be cursing politicians for stealing your commonwealth. The bit of larceny in you has deadened your conscience to asking questions. I don’t get the Nigerian mentality.

    • Seriously

      August 14, 2016 at 8:13 am

This is so odd. Who gives a baby Range rover even if it’s for the parent. Nigerians and their obsession with material things when they are still struggling to meet basic end means. I will rather want a friend to invest in my business, open a bank account for my child as godparent, something substantial that’s long term.

At the corruption, embezzlement office. Be friend with a PDP or APC high official. African mentality is so backward at times. The definition of an African wealth is, big cars and houses. The definition of a white man’s wealth is, innovation, franchise, and investments. There’s nothing with giving your friends gifts but the way Africans waste money on material possession and don’t invest properly is pathetic. Gbenro, better sell that car and save the money towards their future. I’m yet to understand how naijas drive these luxurious car on the mostly rough roads.

It’s not bitterness when something is suspicious people have got the right to question and analyse. That’s one good thing about the bella community. Nigeria did not arrive at this point of chaotic corruption overnight. It happened gradually, people began to lose sight of principle standards started to slip , money became king that’s how we got to this point were a single human entity can embezzle money to the tune of billions of dollars and still have the audacity to put themselves forward suitable for public office.. So don’t get it twisted.

Anyone who worked hard for their money will NOT give another able bodied man a gift in the value of that car. It’s just obtuse. It’s vulgar the way some Nigerians worship wealth without stopping to question the source of such wealth even worse when such shallow people attribute questionable wealth to God. I fear for the spirit of poverty on display on this story. It’s obvious some people will sell them mama for money and even say the Holy Spirit asked them to. Tufiakwa. As for this Di Madu you no get shame, greed has removed your balls and common sense abi, You don’t care how this questionable gesture of “good will” makes you look. Ewu Range Rover.

the difference between a white rich man eg Bill Gate vs a nigerian rich man (money miss road)

I am sure Bill Gates has been made God father to many kids he knows but i doubt this is the way he willl gift them, The bill gates i know will probably set up a trust fund to promise to pay their way through private school elementary all through to college.

This is why white men are able to pass their wealth from generation and their kids and great great great grandkids are stilll able to enjoy – how many blacks in naija or in america do that. Black mind – is just black and foolish

ps: and when bill gates does this he willl not broadcast it neither willthe parents who received the gift of a trust fund broadcast it to the world.
