Nigerians Blast Min of Sports Solomon Dalung for Saying “United States of Nigeria”
A video clip surfaced online today where the Minister of Youths and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, addressing a press conference said: “Our Under 23 team suffering in United States of Nigeria”.
Apparently he was referring to the United States of America where the U-23 were training ahead of their first game against Japan at the Rio Olympics.
The team left for the game on Thursday morning to arrive few hours before their first game.
In the video, he said, “who took them there? What are they there for? Because they are under 23 and they went to the US. Now they are having problems, does that become our business?”

United states of Nigeria! It’s a “comic relief” not a blunder. In this height of economic hardship we need laughter relief.
