#Rio2016 #Paralympics: Nigeria’s Eucharia Iyiazi Wins Bronze in Women’s Discus Event

Eucharia Iyiazi‘s Bronze medal has brought Team Nigeria’s medal tally to 12 in the ongoing Paralympic Games in Rio, Brazil, PUNCH reports.

Iyiazi who had finished 4th in the women’s F56/57 shot put last week, threw a distance of 27.54m in her sixth attempt  in the women’s F56/57 discus event.

Iyiazi has won silver in the Athens 2004 Games, two gold medals in the F57/58 discus and shot put events, and a bronze medal at the London 2012 Games.

Algeria’s Nassima Saifi, won gold with a throw of 33.33m, while Ireland’s Orla Barry won Silver with a throw of 30.06m.

    They have made Nigerians proud in the Paralympic games to a T. May God continue to bless you as you kill it with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Isn’t it great to point out that over 80-90% of medalists in this year’s games are Igbos?
