Interesting as I’ve never heard of Shea Tribe until now, online or in stores. Are these nominations based on who knows who? I mean I’ve heard of products like Namaste, Estella’s Pride, Natural Nigerian, Vanity Oils, African Naturalistas, etc; these products are known online and in stores and not just in Lagos; outside Lagos. Not trying to burst her bubble for how many people have heard of the brand and have even used it, for it to be awarded or nominated for such a category? Even though Tresses and Ajali are not very well known like the brands listed above, they have some sort of recognition and publicity; unlike Shea whatever it’s called. I don’t rate awards these days; I keep telling youngsters not to dwell on it.

Girl bye! Don’t spew hate at one particular brand. I’ve actually never heard of any of these brands EXCEPT for Shea Tribe but that doesn’t mean I’ll come on here talking about who is Tresses or who is Ajali. Instead what I will do is google and research their brands and probably patronize them if I like what they are selling. Maybe you should try that.
And lastly it is called “EMERGING” beauty brands. It is not “Who knows Who” beauty brands. Shea Tribe has every right to be there just as much as Tresses & Ajali.
Good luck to each woman, they are already winners.
That is what you should have said not that nonsense.

      Positivity,
You know you can make your point without being aggressive? Are you sure you aren’t the MD the commenter is referring to? No one stole your panties, chill. You’ve never heard of the listed brands above but you’ve heard about the shea brand? Permit me to say that you’re a classic liar. Jeez. Where did you hear about the brand, what online store, what forum, what supermarket, where is it sold? You can lie if you need to, but do it with sense. If you live in Nigeria, especially Lagos, you’ve definitely heard of the brands listed above, unless of course you’re an advanced liar, or Miss Demola Seriki. I don’t even live in Lagos and I’m familiar of 4 of the brands listed above, not just that, they’re damn good Nigerian brands. I rarely comment on BN but your comment was off and filled with pointless lies, petty remarks. What is “emerging beauty brand”? Don’t use words you don’t know/understand. For you to be nominated, people must have heard about your brand, it must be effective and authentic and doing well to a certain extent. Before you say bs and get unnecessarily defensive, try to be accurate and rational with your analysis. Such a shallow minded individual, opposing views in your world is automatically considered as hate, smh.
