Rivers state government has reportedly shut down a Chinese company allegedly responsible for the presence of soot in the atmosphere around Port Harcourt, the state capital and its environs.

They are deceiving themselves. Who does know that the soot is coming from illegal refineries, navy blowing them up and the eleme petrochemicals. This Chinese company is the easy prey.

I see that you can’t stop yourself from being an asshole even for a fleeting moment. You must have access to the oil or you die, right? It is always about the oil, and no thoughts about the suffering and the deprivation which the people of the Niger Delta region have been subjected to since you started exploiting their God~given wealth, leaving them with crumbs, while your Danjumas and Indimis cart away the proceeds of the wealth which belong to the Niger Deltans. Don’t you worry: the day of reckoning is closer than you know. Bloody parasitic twat.

Stop pointing accusing Fingers are Danjuma, Indimi etc. Their oil blocks are offshore and are producing under strict environmental regulations. Go and find out from DPR etc. Meanwhile, are you aware thar Danjuma’s Sapetro do not own any oil field 100%? Their stakes in Akpo field and Egina field are 5% and 15% respectively. Alhaji Indimi already became a billionaire before his in-road in to Oil Exploration. It might interest you to note that his Company Oriental was not able to raise funds for the development of Ebok Field, They had to sign a funding agreement with another Company. When people blame the north of enriching themselves from Oil, you think it is all rosy. Do you know much tax they pay per barrel to FGN. You think is is easy for someone to sink millions of Dollars in development of Oil Field.? Do you think having an Oil bloc makes one a millionaire overnight? Go and read up before you accuse people of enriching themselves. The bulk of oil revenue goes to FGN. Dangote is investing millions of dollars in Lekki refinery which is capable of handling 600,000 barrels of oil per day. Tomorrow, one uninformed will say that the Northerners have taken everything, Government is the chief regulator and if there is any environmental breach, Govt should ensure that appropriate sanctions and given to the companies involved.

Rivers state has a commisioner for environment who should be sacked for negligence of duty.
If, her citizens did not complain the authorities would not think it right to shut down this business which is inflicting suffering on its people’s life.
I hope a lawsuit follows quickly for all those with confirmed medical cases as a result of this pollution.

@Ogbuefi thanks for the info but trust me the wailers on this blog belong to one group and they will never acknowledge your write up or facts from DPR. It is a known fact that they are two-face people and all they do is criticize and defend their people. They don’t like northerners, they blame southwesterners for their woes and don’t agree with each other even in their circle. The reason why they ignored your comment is glaring. Anyway, you seem to be very different from them. Thanks for clarifying the oilblock brouhaha.

@ Tee, I don’t give a hoot over whoever you are cheerleading for, or for the “fact and figures” Ogbuefi (and I’m sure this particular “Ogbuefi” comes from an area not occupied by Ndi Igbo) is trotting out to make his point. Somehow, and just conveniently, over 90% of the ownership of these lucrative blocs ended up in the hands of or non- indigenes of the Niger Delta region. From your puny defence, it is clear to me you are either from the South-West or the North. Do you still wonder why I should hate you? But don’t let whatever I say bother you. I know it wouldn’t though, being as you guys, being consulate parasites, have a warped sense of fairness. You will never get it, Tee. Watch out though, for that day of reckoning will surely come……sooner than you can imagine.
