“This is not intended to insult 2Baba or his family” – Gordons apologises to 2Baba over “illiterate” comment | WATCH

Comedian Gordons has tendered an apology to 2Baba over a statement he made in a recent interview, describing the musician as the “only illiterate who can sing correctly in music”.

In a video posted on his Instagram page Tuesday night, Gordons said that he did not intend to insult 2Baba or “bring a fight”, adding that he had sent his apology in an SMS to 2Baba.

Whatever happened to empathy?!Before you speak think plssss. So many people keep apologising over misconstrued, offensive or insultive statements.Words really do hurt.I have always admired and rated Gordons as a matured artiste but his statements to a fellow artiste and human being was just in bad taste. Its not compulsory to comment on every issue. You can actually waka pass.

i don’t see why gordons should apologize to tuface.
    gordons is right.
it would have been better for tuface to use his talent to protest, create songs like bob marley, fela, sunny okosun.
think it was a friendly advise he would have given tuface in private.
so also tuface has the right as a citizen of naija to protest,
the bad side is why did he chicken out,the police have no right to take this right from us,they can not give me my human rights.
all fela songs still have meaning today,we still sing it because he was always protesting against bad governance, corruption.
tuface i like you but you also benefited from this pdp corruption.
don’t think you are the right to person to call for a civil protest.
would say enough is enough, young technocrats from age 21-max (50) have to play more in politics and governance,we have to take over in 2019,not protest.

And what have you done in your own way to positively affect your immediate environment, where were you when tuface’s songs was banging loud and irritable in the ears of politicians and also reminding us of our own responsibilities as well in “Vote and not Fight”, if he chooses to take it to the next level by championing a protest when everyone including you and Gordons fail to speak up, should we crucify him for lending his voice…..i think we all are just bunch of hypocrites and thats why we can never be like him, he towers above most of us cos he has a beautiful heart which is evident in his songs that cuts across all facets of our socio political lives……

People know how to open their stinking gutters and spew contagion, then turn around and feebly say, “I have apologised.”
Who da heck is Gordons? That Warri tout?
Thank God for stand-up comedy…! Every idle oaf can now display their clownish hereditary traits and be paid for their foolishness!
Can Gordons compose a three-line nursery rhyme?
Mchew… All these attacks on the person of 2Baba are all manifestations of suppressed, in-built jealousy!

At your old age, you didnt think well before talking. Better not to have said it, than say it and apologize.

Your jokes are sometimes too extreme. Same he did to Helen paul, I watched the comedy show, it got out of hand and she was no longer finding it funny, he also apologized to her. Oga sir! think before you talk.
