President Muhammadu Buhari is working from his official residence at the State House, the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed has said.

According to TheCable, Mohammed made this known to journalists at the end of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting in which Buhari was absent.

“We just concluded the federal executive council meeting, I’m sure you noticed that the president was not there. He was not there because he asked that he be allowed to rest and asked the VP to preside. And he will be working from home. He has asked all his files to be taken to him in the house. He will be working from home today,” Mohammed said.

This is the second time the president is missing the FEC meeting since his return from UK for medical treatment.

Penultimate Wednesday, he was absent from the meeting and the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed said he was “not ill,” as being speculated, adding that he was absent because he had to attend to other official matters.

Last week Wednesday, the meeting did not hold, and the presidency said it was as a result of the Easter Holiday and Cabinet members received their briefs late.

@wow It would have been good for him to do E-government if he could actually use a computer.
President Buhari hasn’t even ruled this country since beginning of this year when he went for his medical vacation.
Uncle Lia mohammed he is not ill but he needs to rest. Rest from what exactly? Sitting in Aso Rock while oshibajo is carrying out his duties.

Toh na real work from home. So this work from home is it all through the week or there are days he actually goes to the office cos me I just don’t get this work from home for one of the most important jobs on earth. He should just resign already and let the VP take over. He would be well taken care of that I am sure of.

African leaders have no honor or sense of patriotism. Your country is fucked up and you still stay in power instead of you to remove yourself from a post you cannot manage, and hand over to someone else
