Kemi Adetiba & Mo Abudu

Following the announcement by CEO of Ebonylife TV, Mo Abudu that there would be a sequel to last year’s blockbuster, “The Wedding Party“, a lot of questions have been concerning the replacement of Kemi Adetiba as director. Speaking exclusively to Linda Ikeji’s Blog, Kemi Adetiba herself reiterated that she’s still good friends with Mo and there was no bad blood between them. She said:

There’s really nothing to it, I’m still very good friends with the house, I speak to them everyday. I don’t want to make a statement right now, I’m still very close to Mo Abudu there’s no phony business going on. A statement will be out soon though

We weren’t born yesterday. They just don’t want to talk about it. Things probably happened with the first one which made them decide not to have her on this second one…However, Mo for try for retain Kemi for the sequel cos this is big budget flick and female directors are few and far between in the world not just 9aija. But na dem sabi.

Not necessarily, everything is not about bad blood. It’s okay to agree to disagree respectfully. It doesn’t mean they should hate each other. I hate how the media likes to fuel fights between two women all the time.
I respect Kemi for not entertaining such. Even if there’s some type of disagreement, she shouldnt air it.
What if Kemi turned it down bcos she has other projects she’s working on, it could be other things than fight.

It’s most likely about money. She probably demanded lots more money for the sequel and EL didn’t want to pay up. Oh well.. She knows her worth.

Mo Abudu fight everyone she has ever worked it. She like to control everything even with her poor knowledge on film making. Go ask a few people who have worked closely with her, they will tell you. Besides that film doesn’t need part 2 and if she think the film will do well like last one, she will be shock. Many big and top quality production are coming out later this year and early next year, no body got time for party 2, Nigeria doesn’t have such loyalty, she should ask AY comedian. He hasn’t been able to break same record after 30days in Atlanta. Mo Abudu, film is not your things, not even creativity and you know this. Focus on creating solid content for your empty TV channel.
