Nigerian actor and youth advocate, Williams Uche-Mbah has joined the list of celebrities voicing their opinions on domestic violence. The Nigerian Youth Rep to the UN speaking in a video this evening insisted that verbal abuse is an equally grievous offence as physical abuse.

While reiterating that any man who beats a woman is a coward, he also admonishes women to steer clear of any form of verbal abuse. He put up the video on his Instagram page and captioned it:

Any form of abuse is as dangerous as the other…women anytime you abuse your husband verbally what you don’t know is that your stepping on his Ego and pride and trust me that’s the last thing you would want to do to a man cos he will protect it with everything he has, even if it means using his fist…woman when you talk nasty to a man, you lose the feminine side of you and once that is lost, the man standing infront of you seizes to see you as a woman but a fellow man and treats you as one. I will always stand to say that any man that physically abuses a woman is a coward but I’ve also realized that physical abuse is always caused by verbal some of us have been trained to walk away from a women when they say things we don’t like, what about the men that haven’t been trained..woman help your man by what you say to him and men your strength was given to you to protect your wife not destroy her…Selah.
