Senator representing Kogi West district Dino Melaye has served the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) an order restraining it from carrying out further action.

He shared this information on Twitter, with photos of the individual pages of the restraining order.

INEC had earlier said that only a court order can stop the recall schedule of the Senator.

According to the recall schedule released by INEC, the Notice of Verification was slated for today the 10th of July.

At least we can now see the enemies of Nigeria showing up clearly on a daily basis. Your constituency have recalled you and you’re now going to the court to get a restraining order against the recall. Is it your father’s property? Abi were u born a senator?

Sebi I said Dino will use court shenanigans?
Dino, you are only delaying your day. We will still sing your song for you…
Who is this presiding judge JT Tsoho? If I was an internet troll or a hacker, I will follow up on his matter.

A word of advice for Senator Dino Melaye. No Court order is supreme to a recall that all the signatories can truly be verified. You’re just wasting your time. Stop barking on the wrong tree.? The electoral commission has nothing to do with your recall. Allow the electoral commission to fix a date for the new election. Instead of fighting the wrong fight. You need to start campaigning for your base to come out to support you, by voting for you on the day of the new election. A word is enough for the wise. I’m just saying.
