I stand by my words that Buhari went into coma July 6 - Fayose

Gov. Ayo Fayose of Eki State (M)

Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose has said that he stands by his words that President Muhammadu Buhari was in a coma in London, adding that he has no apology for any comments he made on the president’s health.

Fayose, who spoke in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, said that Buhari “is too sick to govern” and should be allowed to retire to his country home in Daura.

He debunked reports that he said he will commit suicide if Buhari returns to the country.

“Let me tell you expressly, why would I commit suicide? I cannot commit suicide because of my mother. Even if they are burying my mother now, I will cleverly stay away from the grave so that I won’t fall into it. I can’t commit suicide because of Buhari. I never said that and will never make such statement,” he said.

He said that the cancellation of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting supported his claims that the president needed to rest from the task of governing the country.

“If not for our efforts, Buhari wouldn’t have returned now. He is sick and tired and even his physical appearance portrayed this and he needs to go home and rest. President Buhari was indeed in coma and one of those who visited him said his recovery is a miracle that shows that he was indeed very sick.

Buhari is not old enough to be my father, my mother is older than Buhari, he cannot be my father, he can only be my uncle. I am close to 60. I stand by all I have said about the President. We are glad he is back, but don’t over flog him.

I am not a sycophant and I stand to speak for Nigeria. Somebody must be able to speak on behalf of the poor masses. This was how they deceived us during the time of Yar’Adua. I am not a hypocrite and I will never be one.

This country deserves a very healthy person. Office of the president is not for a sick man. The president is tired and should be allowed to resign and go and rest.

Not until civil societies and people like us started making noise. You can’t be our president without us knowing what is happening to you. So, for me, the president went to coma July 6.

You don’t have to be president at all cost, when you are tired. You go home. I don’t want to talk about 2019 but I want to tell you that Nigeria needs a president that is agile, strong. The job is too much for an individual that does not have what it takes. It is common saying that health is wealth. Everything is about health.

You see they said he would come back and resume in his office, he resumed in his office, they said rats have taken over his office.

A presidential office… rats took over his office! Now they said he is working from home, tomorrow, they would say he is coming from bedroom.

All these stories are ending up in a make believe. In a country where you have so much to do, I am not going to be a sycophant here,” he said.

Fayose said he will not go to the presidential villa to greet the president if invited, saying that his visit would be misinterpreted to be laden with sinister motives.

We believe you Fayose. Very strange that those that will die from ordinary malaria due to lack of proper health care are the ones praising Buhari. Nigerians are of a strange breed. Tufia. Someone repeated a story he heard that in animal kingdom and most climes, when the animals or citizenry are pushed to the wall they react/fight back. Not so in Nigeria. When Nigerians are pushed to the wall, rather than fight back, they face the wall, break it down and flee.

Ohhh Fayose!! shut it already!! Even the presidential rats occupying his office know very well he was ill and of course, could have been on life support and bed-ridden. Stop stating the obvious, cus it really doesn’t matter now. The guy is back….let it go already! Yes his health recovery is a miracle, we are all witnesses to that fact. I’m not a supporter of Buhari. neither do I support APC or PDP. However, your constant rants portray you as a lunatic and sickly too. You also need to take a rest, not just Buhari. Focus on Ekiti people and the development of your state…you still have major projects undone. Jeez!! Rubber-mouth!

Fayose has right to express his mind. Not everyone has to be in Buhari’s sycophant circle. Fayose’s state is part of Nigeria, anything on federal level affects the state. So yeah, he’s focused on his state by addressing what is happening on the federal level. There needs to be emphasis on Buhari’s illness because his administration lied, deceived the public for long. And they are still hiding and covering up. It’s no brainer anymore that Buhari is critically ill but why the constant cover up when the truth is obvious? And why the strong hold to power when he can simply resign to take care of his health.

Buhari accused the previous administration for lack of transparency, when all he’s done is hide, cover up and intimidate, threaten people who disagrees with him.

So Nigerians should be happy he’s back to work from home due to rat infested office. Are Nigerians this gullible? Do their rulers really think their people are bunch of idiots.
Why are Nigerians so quick to sympathize with authority even when their actions are blatantly wrong. Yet whine and complain about corruption. C’mon man, do better

but seriously,..saying that rodents took over the president’s office hence the need to work from home, is indeed very shameful. how will the international community even look at us? we have to associate with them shame-faced.
