For Freedom. For Justice. For All! Kweku Mandela, Michelle Obama, Whoopi Goldberg speak at the 6th Annual Global Citizen Festival
On the 23rd of September, about 60,000 people converged on Central Park’s Green Lawn for the 6th annual Global Citizen Festival.
The free outing unites politicians, activists and some of music’s biggest hitmakers for a talks of political and social change as well as thrilling performances from the artists present.
In attendance at the event were Nelson Mandela‘s grandson Kweku Mandela, Ghana’s president Akufo-Addo, Whoopi Goldberg, Priyanka Chopra, Alessia Cara, Big Sean, The Chainsmokers and a host of others.
Michelle Obama was not physically present at the event but had recorded a video previously to be played at the festival.
