Yesterday, we shared the scoop that newlyweds, Banky W and Adesua Etomi and their wedding party were all in Capetown South Africa, ahead of the white wedding happening this week.

Thankfully, for our BellaNaijarians that are avid fans of the couple, we’ve got a BN team member with the #BAAD2017 crew and you can follow his journey every day for the next 8 days on @bellanaijaonline and the hashtags #BNInBNInSA and #MySAExperience.

Today, the BAAD2017 gang explored the Table Top Mountain in Cape Town and went wine tasting at the Simon’s Groot Constantia

Fun fact: the Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain often covered in a cloud which is known as the ‘Tablecloth’.

Back to the matter, see all the fun photos from their adventure below!

Photo credits : Kelechi Amadi Obi. Did Mr. Kelechi travel all the way to South Africa just to snap these pictures? (flight expenses +hotel bills + his fees). MORAL OF THE STORY, there’s money in whatever you do….just be consistent and make yourself standout in whatever way you can. Make lots of noise about your work and don’t let critics derail you. I still can’t believe a photographer was hired to travel all the way down. Most of the pictures i see, while they are very nice, could have been gotten with a good phone camera. congrats to Mr. Kelechi and congrats in advance to all ye hustlers out there like me. May all our dreams come true.

SA Tourism board probably sponsored these. Nigerians love to travel why not use their celebrity to market to them?

the whole wedding was/is freaking sponsored. i do not think people need to be told this.

      {I digress: In not so related news, i saw one headline today about someone bashing the Ws for “spending so much money on their wedding”. While it may have been a clickbait (i wouldnt know), i just shook my head,i think it’s so obvious a large percentage would come from sponsorship as both wife and husband are ambassadors of top brands. AND they + their coming together/wedding has a massive following, i dont think any company would want to pass up the opportunity so they’ll show up. even if it was all their money, is it not their money? Mschewww. Back to what I wanted to say jare}

I think what is actually really cool is that their wedding party are probably being paid to go on holiday and attend their friends’ wedding!!!! Now, this is the kind of wedding party/train I want to be a part of!!! Not all those ones that just milk you dry only to give you some yeye souvenirs after asking you to donate a kidney for aso-ebi and bridal train cloth+makeup+etc. LOL, I don vex… Even if they are not being paid for this free SA tourism ad/publicity, they probably didnt sha pay a dime for this plenty enjoyment. This is what I think tho, not facts.

Are all these celebs out in SA for a whole week? who is covering or taking care of their businesses??

if you cannot leave your business for a week, it is not a business. A business will run without you because leaders lead a good and functional team.

I agree @mie, most of the trip and other stuff with this SA will have been sponsored. after all that #travelSA sponsored some peeps like Bolinto and co to visit SA sometime this year. I think they were smart to key into this BAAD hype and market themselves. But Banky and Adesua could probably still afford to have a wedding in SA without sponsorship. Love the pictures and hope they have an awesome wedding. can hardly wait for the pics

Same xenophobic SA that attacked Nigerians without any justice done at the end is the same tourism board sponsoring our celebs? Nigerians truly do not have self respect not value themselves, that is why others can treat us like shit cos they know we’ll not only take it but also ask for more.

Glad to hear that it might/probably is sponsored. I was beginning to wonder at all the money being spent. Sure they could probably afford to have a wedding in SA. But that’s a whole week before the wedding and plenty money being spent as the days go by.

Genuine Question: does SA Tourism sponsor(flight, hotel, per diem, food and everything, even stipend for shopping) everyone on this trip? did they select those they were going to sponsor or the couple gave them a list of their friends?
Bella can your Repp please come and answer these questions and more?
    Thanks

Bella if you like don’t post as you have been eating all my comments. SA tourism is sponsoring the white wedding, flights, hotels, food and drinks. They also sponsor the couple, brides and bridegrooms, flower girls and ring bearer and also selected media and bloggers including photographers. In return they have to tour and promoted SA sights for 2weeks. That’s the deal hustled.

why are you guys so obsessed with them being sponsored? Like it’ll make you guys feel better about yourselves or what? Is this the first time people have married abroad? People have money, let them spend it as they wish. From what I know, they are not children of politicians so it is not Nigeria’s revenue they are spending.

Sponsored celebrity weddings have been taking place for a long time. I believe Star Jones started the trend, and funny enough, she was made fun of, as it was considered tacky! Now it’s the ‘in thing’. E!, Vh1 and BET pay for these celebrity weddings!
