Mentally Challenged man who Allegedly Killed 2 Pupils in Ogun School Arrested

A suspected mentally challenged man Lekan Adebisi who allegedly hacked two pupils of St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Agodo, Ogun state has been arrested by the police, Punch is reporting.

Adebisi was said to have stormed the school on Monday, March 12th when the children were on lunch break and killed the two pupils who were both aged four and fled the scene afterwards.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer said Adebisi was arrested on Wednesday morning with the combined efforts of the police and some local hunters

“Their efforts paid off in the early hours of today (Wednesday) when the suspect was seen in a bush around the community. When they wanted to arrest him, the suspect, who was brandishing a sharp cutlass, attacked them, consequent upon which he was shot and injured on the leg,” Oyeyemi said, adding that Adebisi is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The case has been transferred to homicide section of State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Abeokuta.
