Nollywood actress Ini-Dima Okojie turned year older today and to celebrate her new age, the actress spent her day giving food to less privileged kids.

She shared photos from her day on her Instagram page, with the caption:

Last year I spent my birthday on a film set… it was great.
However nothing trumps my day with these amazing kids.
Despite what life has dealt them, they are still full of laughter and greats vibes.
Let’s count our blessings.
And do our best to keep hope alive❤️

Undeserved: not warranted, merited, or earned.

The poor kids do not deserve or merit a better standard of living? Or what?
BN abeg change this caption. Underprivileged was just fine.

Don’t mind BN people ….Dundee united …speaking English they are clueless about. I hardly ever use harsh words but this is so upsetting to me right now. ‘Undeserved ‘SMH

Folks, it is UNDERSERVED i.e. not served or provided for enough, not undeserved so BN is right in this case.

lool. it is underserved- ie; life etc hasn’t been fair to the children. BN sef, use simple english for your captions. lol
That said, i never like these pictures of people doing these things. These kids are not photo props, or your feel good barometer check. They are not your “gift to humanity” checklist. It always makes me uncomfortable when the caucasians go to “poor african” countries and take pictures of these kinds. Now, i am equally uncomfortable when social figures that are not actively involved in the charity scenes do these things also. if you want to make one off donations, do so. give it to whoever, and go. Buy whatever for whoever, distribute whatever and go your way.. what purpose does the photoshoot at the end serve if it is not for the purpose of actively fostering charitable goals?
If all year round, you did something in some way with these organisations, or any charitable activity, fund raising etc etc, then fine.. but this go to old women, young children, whatever on your birthday, or mother’s birthday, or the day your dog lassie gave birth to its first puppy anniversary, then now take pictures and pose with the kids or people that “are full of smile despite their circumstances”, then post if on social media.. WHAT THE actual FECK is that about?!!
You do that then, and so, till your next birthday again or till lassie’s puppy turns 3? or the next time the holy spirit ministers?
On the other hand, i suppose every little bit of help counts for people who truly need it regardless of the intention, or commitment to the cause by the people.. so to that extent, we will mostly just sit down and say stupid s—s like “oh god bless you for this” *sigh f—ing sigh*
Just look at the picture, really look at it and not just hers but every other celeb that has done this. she is posing in brazillian weave, sun glasses etc, and the kids are oh well, that doesn’t matter- let’s still strike a post for the gram anyways, but dont forget to let the plastic bowl of rice and bottle of water show.. oh gods, i cant.

@do better, I personally do not care WHY some folks do GOOD things, so long as they are doing GOOD! Let’s leave personal motivation between folks and their Creator. That so-called “gram” food might be the only real food these kids might have the entire day (or week).
Abegi, let us not let the Perfect become an enemy of the GOOD!

Meanwhile, these kids are actually “underserved” (to borrow from BN’s vocabulary) by their parents and politicians. I realize that it is a touchy subject for many, but we continue to “underserve” everyone if we do not confront a culture that allows adults to continue to spout out children without taking any personal responsibility for their well-being, and even exploiting (and I realize that might be seen as an unduly harsh word) such kids to support said parents. In the 21st century, even poor uneducated folks are well aware of condoms, and/or other methods of preventing pregnancy.
