It gets more interesting. “The Son sets on Germany.”

lol I got what u did there with “Son” haha. South Korea was such a formidable team on the pitch. I could not believe how defending champs Germany could miss so many shots. Pretty bummed that South Korea also said bye to the World Cup. They would have been an interesting addition to the Round of 16.

Yes, I feel sorry for some very good 3rd placed teams like South Korea.

Many tournaments ago (’82, ’86, ’90 and ’94) when there were 24 teams, some of the best 3rd placed teams moved on to the next round,. When it expanded to 32 teams, it was scrapped.

      I don’t gerrit *crying emoji*

Explain for the non-footie fanatics, plix! (…. saying that though, I caught the highlights of the match and what a wawu. Nobody ever hesperred it. Moral of the story – beware of premature prouding in your ability, lest a South Korea in your life comes along to teach you humbility).

The ONLY third-placed team that I would be interested in seeing in the next round is….NIGERIA!
