“Achievement starts from believing” says my amiable lecturer Dr Achi. As a child, I had always wanted to be educated as I read books and biographies of young and successful women around the world .A little insight into my bio. I was born in Warri, Delta State. I am the first of seven (7) children. My parents are low income earner and not educated. Growing up was a struggle for me and my siblings. I remember my secondary school days when I went to school with empty stomach and trekked long distance to school. I wasn’t concerned about my present situation, my focus was the clear picture of my future in my heart. I my S. S.S. 3, I worked part time as a cleaner in a bakery to enable me save up money for my WAEC and JAMB fees. Glory to God, I gained admission into two universities to study business administration and I had to choose one. In school, I worked part time as a sales representative to pay for my accommodation, textbooks and handouts. During holidays, I worked to save for the next semester. By His mercies, I graduated as the Second Best in my department and also got other merit Awards. People who knew me from the street keep wondering till date how it happened. God Grace and determination made my dreams reality. I currently work in an ISP company in Lagos and my dream is to further my education to the level of a Doctorate in Management sciences. I will glad if am given the opportunity to fulfilling my dreams.
Thank you.
Hi @bellanaija, I should be given a scholarship to attend this course because I want to make an informed decision with respect to my course choice for my Maters Degree. For my first degree i didn’t know what course i wanted, what career path i should ply, i just finished secondary school and as a typical Nigerian student – the next thing was to go to a University. So, i wrote my exams, passed and applied for the first course i could think of and i was admitted. So i spent the next 4 years studying a course that didn’t interest me. It’s been 2 years since i graduated and now, i think somehow life as guided me to the path i should be on. Unfortunately, with my first degree its been really hard to get into the sector because employers don’t really care about your passion or that you can learn on the job, You’re either qualified or not. To be qualified, i need to get another degree. So, i want this scholarship to help me know what the next steps are for me.
I have applied to countless schools in quite a few countries for PhD placement, but I have never gotten a positive feedback. So I guess I need guidance, because I’m starting to think maybe I’m the problem, or maybe my grades just aren’t good enough. I would love to attend this seminar please, perhaps with experts advising me, I might get it right this time.
Getting a PhD matters so much to me… Please help make my dream come true!
They say education is the key. But I am of the opinion that education is an eye opener as specialized knowledge is the key. Having studied computer science at the university of Ibadan, furthering my education in line with making the right informed decisions will enable me not to go astray. This one-day course organized by Get In Education Consulting will propel me to certainly do this. Kindly Awaiting your positive response
Getting a postgraduate degree is a primary goal for any qualified professional with a Bachelor’s Degree. Funding, Course and School Choice are major considerations which limit most graduates in achieving this goal. I am a qualified legal professional with a Bachelor’s Degree and I do not want the above to prevent me from achieving my goal of furthering my education to a Doctorate level.
The founder of GetInConsulting, Mariam Olafuyi, is a role model who has helped so many graduates achieve their goal. I would love get a scholarship to attend the event, benefit from the wealth of information to be passed on and to engage the speakers on my challenges so far in getting scholarships and making a great choices on a school and a course.
Thank you for your kind consideration.
Regards,
Chiamaka
Ever since my uni days, I have been aware of the allure and importance of an MBA. Having worked 6 years post university, I feel the time is right. Unfortunately , with Nigeria just recovering from an economic recession and a deflated exchange rate, it seems this can only be possible through a scholarship. I would love to be given the opportunity to learn all I need to know and increase my chances of getting a scholarship.
I am currently searching for opportunities to further my studies abroad in order to pursue my dream career of becoming an academic. I need guidance on what country to choose, what school to choose, how to go about the applications, and, very importantly, how to get scholarships.
I live in Lagos and will be grateful if I am considered for a scholarship to attend this one-day course.
Thanks
I graduated in 2015 and I’ve been applying to different foreign colleges and scholarships including Chevening. But for some reason I’m not always selected. I finished with good grades and I believe in the importance of furthering your education after college. Therefore, I would love to attend this event so I can gain insight to why and how I can approach my applications better and hopefully get to study abroad, fulfill my dreams and advance my career.
I’ll be very grateful to receive the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship to attend this event and be a step closer to fulfilling my dream and I will prove that I do have what it takes to not only be a Masters degree holder but a successful young lady.
I have often been discouraged about the requirements for admission into prestigious graduate schools because i find them too lofty, However, i have followed @getinconsulting on Instagram and read stories of graduate school alumni on their page and i am beginning to feel like the goal may not be as lofty as i thing. I believe that getting a scholarship to this event will further enlighten me and help me make the right choices while allaying my fears about the prejudged lofty requirements.
For the longest time, i’ve wanted to study abroad. i had to put it off for family reasons to obtain my undergraduate degree in Nigeria. now that i’m done with that and i’m serving, this is the right time for me to prepare for my postgraduate degree and while i can do my own research and apply by myself, i think it’s wiser to let the experts help me out with it and there’s none more experienced than Get In Education Consulting. so help me further my education so i can join my peers as the future leaders of this country.
Thank you for the opportunity. Am interested in enhancing my capacity as a person and would like to gain further knowledge by furthering my education.Have been going through lots of graduate scholarship opportunities without success. Attending this program will further enhance my knowledge and teach me the right ways to go about it.Thank you
This is a great privilege. Thanks BellaNaija.
I’ve always wanted to apply for a Masters Degree programme immediately after my Bachelors Degree, and to study my dream course, English Literature. In fact I can’t wait. It will be a dream come true if I’m given a scholarship to study here in Nigeria or abroad.
I must contribute my quota to the education sector in Nigeria.
Thanks again BN for the heads up!
I have always wanted such an opportunity to have a clear cut picture of the future and how to go about it. I’m so much passionate about learning and want to go beyond my undergraduate studies, and I believe I will be able to achieve this with the aid of the program
I think i should be given a chance because I’m a civil servant with 4 kids and I aspire to acquire a masters.
I would be delighted to win a ticket to attend the get in education consulting because I am an undergraduate in my final year at the University of Lagos studying mathematics and statistics and I love Data analysis – the application of big data to improve the finance, health, business, economic sectors and so many others. Data analysis isn’t offered any where in nigeria but among the best universities abroad. I would be delighted to win a ticket to the consulting program in order to sky rocket my chances of getting admission in a graduate school as I’ve been trying to make a list of schools myself but a top guidance from get in education consulting will be worth it. thank you Bella naija.
Hi, Bellanaija. I just finished my youth service and I’m looking to further my education in the nearest future. I would love to win this ticket because it would help me make informed decisions about my postgraduate studies (which I have fortunately started working on in my little way) and because I do not have the financial capability to pay for it myself at this point in time… Thank you.
For one who is social media and internet savvy, I’ll admit that this aspect of overseas admission has got me clueless. Awarding me the scholarship would help me confront and allay my fears,
empower me to make informed decisions that’s badly needed so I don’t short change myself as regards improving my chances at a rewarding career. Besides, this investment in me would very well be in line of Get in Consulting services goal of creating access to education through its advocacy and advisory service.
Cheers
I really need help applying for my masters abroad. Would be the happiest person if i could attend this course to help me make my dream a reality. I love the work Mariam Olafuyi is doing, and i am always so inspired by her stories on Instagram. Keep up the good work.
My dream has always been to be among the pathfinders in Chemistry. In achieving my dream, I graduated with a First Class in Chemistry from the University of Lagos. I knew it was going to be difficult for me to further because I and my sister was raised by a single mum living on a low income.
I’ve been trying my best to research about getting international scholarship but seems I’m not doing something right. I’ll appreciate if I can get the opportunity to get a scholarship to attend this event to empower me in actualising my dreams.
Thank you.
I am an exceptional candidate for the scholarship to attend this course because my academic achievements, and rich cultural experience has prepared me for this placement. I was responsible for piloting innovative and sustainable social strategies for a broad range of development initiatives in my capacity as a Senior Technical Adviser to a Nigerian state. My team strategized the first Investment Summit to ensure that the state’s programming aligns with commitment to social inclusion and developed a strategic advocacy platform.
My active engagement in gender inclusive and social development programs was supported by a generous grant from ‘The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research to learn from Boko Haram survivors and make them an integral part of the solution. I have over 10 years of relevant professional experience and a commitment to making the world a better place by changing the lives of marginalized persons through civic activism. I was distinguished as a Global Social Enterprise Initiative Fellow and a Global Human Development Fellow at Georgetown University for this reason. I also developed programs that focused operations on community driven development for social services and safety nets. Therefore, my advocacy and coordinative competence would be an advantage to this position.
I communicated technical information, performed monitoring and evaluation of development projects as part of my curriculum. This role availed me the opportunity to better hone my project management skillsets. My social work took me to the United Nations in Switzerland where I consulted on social protection and humanitarian services. I also worked on processes to develop and strengthen social protection programs, which I presented at the UN annual general meeting for civil society in September 2015 in New York.
My activism work with the U.S. Department of State in Nigeria helped the Public Diplomacy Division to highlight the role of women in the peace processes during the Boko Haram crises. Through timely local convening and high level strategic partnerships, we were able to initiate political settlements and encouraged developmental partners to pledge their support for sustainable peace. My robust experience has taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments at an organization and I have the aptitude to work within a team as well as cross-team.
In addition to these skillsets, I hope to bring soft skills such as leadership, resilience, emotional intelligence, adaptability, creativity, professionalism, and ethics to this position. This role aligns with my professional development trajectory and I want to embrace new challenges. Therefore, I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with the selection panel to discuss how my qualifications will be beneficial to your team.
Sincerely,
Uzoamaka.
BN you have done a great job. Providing people with such wonderful career opportunity is not always easy. We may have 1,000,001 people out there which I am one of them who eagerly need this opportunity to transform and better their career and life in particular, honestly the one person that benefits from this opportunity is alot. Although I have tried several times within my own capacity to achieve this , through friends and family I have made efforts and still making efforts, and will continue to make efforts even though you don’t consider me for this to achieve that goal in life. I wish all applicant all the best. God bless BN and it’s Associates.
Graduate school for me would be a big boost in my career progression, outside the country…that’s definitely a life changing opportunity. I found myself amongst so many young and naive Nigerian youth which during the course of making a decision as to which courses were the best for us or which school would have brought out the best in us according to the course of our choice for undergraduate studies had little or no guidance. Now I am out of school and thank God am blessed to belong to the few who now see things differently. This opportunity would help me further make informed and guided decisions which would help me secure a graduate school admission into my desired program and subsequently help me become an asset rather than a liability to myself, my immediate community, our dear nation and the entire globe.
After two ‘we regret to inform you’ mails from graduate schools I’ve applied to, I feel like I’ve hit a brick wall in the graduate school application process. I need to learn how to do things differently to achieve the desired result.
This masterclass seems like the answer to all of my questions, unfortunately I cannot afford it right now. I would be most grateful to be sponsored by Bella naija for the Path to Graduate school event, as it would serve as a tremendous help in the process of my career development.
I also reside in Lagos and would be available to attend the Path to Graduate school event on the 21st of July.
Hi bellanaija, I really want to win this ticket for a plethora of reasons. I’ve been trying to get into graduate school abroad for a while now but all my efforts have been futile. I graduated in 2015 from a course I didn’t really like then made up my mind that I can’t build a career in it. Right now, I’m trying to make a quick career switch into something I love but the process has been tiring. I’ve tried applying for a number of scholarships but I never get any of them. I really want to start pursuing my dreams and enter graduate school abroad next year. When I heard of GetInConsulting on Instagram, I immediately decided to sign up, however, some unexpected expenses came up, so I can’t afford it anymore. I’ll appreciate it if this free ticket is given to me. Thanks a lot.
Hello there! I saw this ad on Instagram and I immediately decided to apply for this. Well, after spending 4 years in a course I wasn’t sure about building a career in, I applied for masters in that same course thinking it would make me have a change of mind and heart towards it. However, I was so wrong. Now I’m rounding up my masters in a month or two and I still feel like there’s something missing. I want to further my education and study a course that relates to my career. I feel like I wasted time studying a course (both undergraduate and postgraduate level) that won’t really help me. At this point, I feel like I need all the help I can get to enable me choose the right school and course so as to quickly advance in myself career. I tried applying for a scholarship and I was a hundred percent sure I was going to get it. Then I was denied. I felt so bad because I believed I put in the best application. I want this course to guide me thoroughly in selecting schools and courses as I don’t want to be denied admission and scholarships again. I’ll really be grateful If I’m given this opportunity. 🙏🏽
So I’ve been trying to get into graduate school abroad for the past two years now. Safe to say all my efforts went down the drain. I decided to settle and do a masters in a course I studied as an undergraduate but I can safely say I made a huge mistake. Now, I need all the direction I can get because i don’t want to be denied my application. I honestly want this scholarship to attend the course so I’ll finally understand how to go about my application process because I plan to get into graduate school during the first quarter of next year. During the course, i also hope to network with some people that would help me in my career advancement. Please kindly consider me. Thanks a lot.

I really want to advance in my career and I realized the only way I can do this is to receive guide from experts. I was a bit scared of being jobless after finishing my first degree in a Nigerian University, so I took the Msc form just to keep me occupied. This move just made me realize that I can’t build a career in that course. I tried applying for a number of scholarships and admission but was denied. I really need someone to guide me so as to know the schools and courses that would be perfect for this big career switch I want to make. I’ll appreciate it if I’m given this opportunity.
I have both an undergraduate answer postgraduate degree however I want to make a career switch into something I actually have passion for. I’ve tried applying to some courses but I got denied one way or the other. I know those course would serve as the perfect guide as to how to select applications, schools, courses, and others. I really want to start another degree during the first quarter of next year. I hope I’m given this opportunity as I’ll make very good use of it.
