Genevieve Nnaji looked red hot on the red carpet as she stepped out for the premiere of “Lionheart” during 2018 Toronto International Film Festival at TIFF Bell Lightbox on September 8, 2018, in Toronto, Canada.

The Nollywood actress made her directorial debut with the movie which was acquired by Netflix barely a day ago.

For the event, Genevieve Nnaji opted for a red pantsuit and we’re so here for it.

How on earth does she look stressed out ?
A ballroom gown does not define movie premieres always !

She didn’t look stress out. She looks as beautiful as ever. But no one can hide their ageing. She isn’t getting any younger and try as we all may, it shows. As Monday drifts into Saturday and 2008 swims into 2018, it shows on our bodies and most apparently, on our faces. It matters not if you are IG slay queen, or hollywoood A star, you can’t beat nature to it. Try bleach or plastic surgery, more trouble, it will even show more aggressively. For those who ponder, it’s a pointer to the transitory nature of the space we are at this moment in time.

Thank you very much. Everyone ages. Yeah…. We all hate getting old but it’s inevitable unless one plans to die young. Genny looks good

So did anyone else work on this film and showed up at the premiere. Or was it made by a ‘team’ of one? Asking for a friend.

The producer Chinny Onwugbenu was also present as well as one of the film’s lead actors. Nkem Owoh.

Of course Chinny would be there. Chinny is everywhere Genny is.

But cast and crew at a film premiere for a woman giving speeches about wanting to champion Africa and women etc….. Where was everyone else? Even online they are not championing her or the film.

Sorry but who else has she given credit for a movie everyone who worked on it knows she did not direct because she had no clue! Yes I said it. ….. When will we start calling things for what they are instead of encouraging these appalling egos!

TIFF isn’t your regular Nollywood festival where everyone and their mother will turn up on stage to show they worked on the film. And she did give credit to her entire cast and crew. Abi you want her to name every single person? They know themselves na. The fact it’s premiering at the festival speaks volumes already; no need for grand gestures. Besides, not everyone has money or VISA to Canada. Unless you’re sponsoring the rest of the cast and crew to attend?

Actually TIFF is that kind of festival where cast and crew walk the red carpet and show up at the screening. Check their social media. The cast and crew don’t need my sponsorship. They have a big netflix deal… right? Or….. 🙂 You dont need a good film to premiere at TIFF. When it comes to Nigeria especially, it is affirmative and inclusive action. Diversity and all that jazz. But you know that already.

I don’t like her look. She doesn’t look pretty. She looks quite ordinary… forget the pant suit what about the hair and the make up? So subdued more suited to a funeral or something….

    • Hmmm

Post your picture. See who’s calling someone else “ordinary

A+ power suit! Love the red, just wish it didn’t have that weird net applique thing. This was not a pretty mermaid gown moment. She’s the boss lady director, not the talent, She’s serving Hillary Clinton, pantsuit vibes. If you know, you know.

@Yes Maam… Atleast, I know Osuofia /Nkem OWo was at the premiere too… Saw him in a picture else where… Guess BellaNaija just choose to focus on the Lady ON RED/the lead actor/Director …

@Cherie… No ooo… I so much love that net on the hand… It gave it the tush look… If not the suit would have looked regular… The stuff brought out the class in it

Nigerians have a problem with unfiltered pictures.
we are used to seeing overly filtered, smooth, pore-less and shiny faces on red carpet that we often forget those aint their real faces.
it is normal to have lines around your eyes especially when you approach 40.
so yes, she looks absolutely natural and lovely

I don’t think it has to do with Nigerians. It’s copied all over Africa from he western world.
